Saw where someone said that Kuhmo's for small sizes of tires are good. Anyone have any
thoughts? I'm looking at 205-75-14. Thanks

I was not happy with the wear and mileage with the ones I put on my daughter's car. I would not do it again.

Kuhmo 857's are a great tire. They are not ST tires,so if you plan on replacing 205/75R14 ST tires you will need a 195R14 Kumho 857. Most Kumho 857's are Load Range "D". If your rim will not handle the 65#PSI required then you will have to use a "C" rated Maxxis.(or whatever you choose...)

We had Kuhmo tires on all three of the new KIA's we bought last year (the Hyundai we bought has Korean made Hankook tires)...and the oldest has 15,000 miles with no wear...and they are quiet, have great traction and ride great. And suprise! The Kuhmo's are from the new Kuhmo Macon Georgia USA factory!

And 2 of the 3 KIA's are actually also made in Georgia (West Point).

I put a set that size on the Nissan PU in 2003. Yesterday had one pulled and patched due to picking up a nail. Still got some tread and are not showing any age related damage. Recently made a 14 hour trip at interstate speeds with the last 7 hours in an overloaded state in a major way.

Have run several sets and have 8000 miles on the set we put on the MH last fall. I really do not remember the miles on the truck when I installed them in 2003. If I find someone in need of this size tire I may get a new set of Kumho's for it and give this set to someone with bald tires. Really hate seeing people with slick tires on their daily driver but there are many out there.

They are better known for their large OTR truck tires. Kumho is a high quality tire so not the cheapest price you can find for a travel trailer.

My brother put these tires in his Mercedes E class a few years ago. He shared with me that it was the best deal. No problem after a few years even in an expensive car.

The Radial 857 is KUMHO's Euro-metric sized special purpose tire designed for use on trailers, just like the American sized ST tire they are not intended to be used on cars or light trucks….

The 857 Euro size 195 would be the closest replacement for the American sized 205...

The 857 only comes in 14 inch LR D sizes…

The 857’s 205R14 is mfg in China or Viet Nam, and the other sizes are mfg on Korea…

185R14 102/100Q Load Index 102 = 1874lbs
Load Index 100 = 1764l
Speed Rating “Q” = 99mph

195R14 102/100R Load Index 102 = 1874lbs
Load Index 100 = 1764lbs
Speed Rating “R” = 106mph

195R14 106/104R Load Index 106 = 2094lbs
Load Index 104 = 1984lbs
Speed Rating “R” = 106mph

205R14 109/107Q Load Index 109 = 2271lbs
Load Index 107 = 2149lbs
Speed Rating “Q” = 99mph

I have not bought tires in years for a car. I bought my first toad for my MH and dropped it off at the local hometown tire shop with instructions put the best tires you have on her!

I went to pick up the car and it had tires called Kuhmo's on it!??
OMG I'm thinking I've got Chinese tires on my car and was going right from there to hit the road fulltiming....so I left them on and hit the road.

I've been dragging that car behind my MH for 4 years now and gotta tell ya they look like brand new. Probably couldn't tell you that if they were the usual same o same o tires most of us put on.
