Does any one have a "Predator" 3200rated/4000 maximum watt portable generator and can comment on it - good or bad.
Right now they are on sale at Harbor Freight for $290, and I am thinking of possibly getting one.

If no one responds be sure to listen to it run at full load. How loud is it. A loud generator will spoil everyone's fun.
Also check to see if it will run sensitive electronics like computers, sat boxes , dvd players and TVs.

Sounds like E-bay or Harbor Freight No Thank You.
Better off looking at a Yamaha or Honda although both are pricey very pricey but worth th money for a portable generator.

I'd listen to it first but IMO they're all loud.

anything like that would be fine for boondocking or motorsports races, but not for campgrounds with neighbors.

I know you don't want to hear from people that do not have one of these generators from Harbor Freight, but I did look at them during one of my recent visits to their distribution center on I-95. A friend of mine just bought a TT and asked me to check it out for him.
I noticed they do not have a 30A RV recepticle. It also had 13A breakers.
I looked the model up on the Harbor Frieght website and read some interesting feedback from people who bought one. One of them bought it for RV use. Said it wouldn't run his 1000W mincrowave. Another said it was much louder than he thought it should be.
For less than $300, you can get a Champion 3500/4000 portable generator. That's what I advised my buddy to do as he couldn't afford $1200 for the Yamaha genny he really wanted. He goes to races so it doesn't have to be whisper quiet.
Good luck.

The $300 Champion from Tractor Supply is a fine 3500-watt rig. They have very good reviews in Cabela's website also, and from many guys on this board.
