RE: Age of RV and Electronics using SHORE POWER-THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Quote: A 30amp service cord will not plug into a 50amp recepticle. If your TT has a 30amp electrical panel it would have to be replaced with a 50amp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Why do you tell people stuff like that ? All it takes is a $10 adapter ! THANK YOU !!!!! some of these people should just read and not try to help UUUGGGG!!!

RE: window putty

You can do that but if they are not leaking I would not mess with them and just clean best I can.Why invite a bigger problem?

RE: Scary moment

WOW!!! you were lucky, bet it never happens again. Just like I'll never hit a gas station pumps protective post again:S This is why I like the slidebar type on my 15K pro. Those jaws just scare me.

RE: What would you pay?

Scratch that dealer off your list and start again. He has to come down way too much for you to get a reasonable deal.... I agree, since you have cash why don't you give ebay a try.You can get a steal from folks that "gotta" get out of thier debt.

RE: Duo therm penguin installation

UPDATE!!! Well I took my sweet time but got the new penguin A/C / heat pump installed in my bedroom and was able to open up the cieling and create the duct to tie into the existing ducting. Installed a new digital control center and everything works great both heat pump and air.Now either the front or rear units will heat or cool the entire 5er.If i'm on 50amp service I can use both as well(meat locker mode).

RE: Restaurant for Thanksgiving - St. Augustine, FL

The Conch House is usually open on Turkey Day. Call them to be sure. Also might try the Colombia Restaurant, Harry's Seafood Bar and Grill, Sunset Diner. Conch house is a little too rustic for thanksgiving.

RE: 2010 ram video

I have owned Chevrolet's, Ford's and a Dodge. I have always been a Ford guy. After watching the video, I must say that Dodge deserves a second look. Good looking truck with nice features. I like the diesel motor, but what transmission does it have? The tranny is always the problem. Overall, nice looking vehicle. Bye the way, when I owned a 2006 F-350 the integrated beake contoller worked great. The new 68re 6speed auto trans is very good, stout and the paddle shifter and tow/haul with factory exhaust brake is a blast.

RE: 15 amp service?

Look at it this way, if you were in a house, and the only thing you could plug anything into was (one) outlet how much would you plug into it? What an answer???? Yes you can use the furnace, the igniter and fan runs on 12 volts. That's an answer for cryin outloud.

RE: Reese 15K Pro-bang when stopping.

I have the same hitch and it's been clunking like that for 4 years.I wouldn't trade it for the jaw type. I feel more secure with the bar that can't release like a jaw. These guys that have jaws on thiers need to mind thier own business instead of trying to sell you on what they have.

RE: full time single female rv'er

As a 5th wheel owner I feel a small class C is best for you but if it has to be a TT or small 5th wheel the 5th wheel is much easier to hook up alone, all you do is back into the hitch that you can see out your rear window. A TT you have to keep geitting in and out and repositioning till you find the right spot. I've had both and there is no comparison in how easy a 5th wheel tows.

RE: Slide Awnings

Folks will tell you that they are a waste of money and you don't need them...that's one opinion. Folks will tell you that all you have to do is climb up on the roof with a broom or a leaf blower and clean the slide roof off each time.. Not me, I am not climbing up on a wet slippery roof or hauling a full size ladder or leaf blower around every time I break camp. I like slide toppers for the reasons you outlined and more. Look at any up-grade TT, 5th wheel or motorhome..they will have slide toppers. I agree totally and they provide shade on top of the slides to help out with heat buildup inside.
