Keystone Quality ?

I am trying to decide between a Keystone 266RL and a Heartland North Country 26SRL. The two of them have very similar layouts. I have heard very little negative comments about the Heartlands, but am very nervous about the Keystone. What is everyone's take on the Keystone brand? I am wondering if there are more negative comments out there about the Keystone's because they sell alot more of these units then the Heartlands.
Thanks for the input.

sPRINGDALE 266RL VS Heartland North Country 29srl

Just wondering what everyone's opinions on the two of these models are. I have researched the Heartlands inside and out. I am in love with the quality and craftsmanship of the Heartlands, but buying one may come down to the $$$ for the downpayment. It will be a cheaper down payment for me to go with the Springdale but is the whole unit built cheaper. I have noticed that the Heartland has more storage room in it but I do like the u-shaped dinette in the Springdale. Both models I am looking at are left over 2009's.
Anyone with any other pro's or con's of the two units? Anyone ever have any problems with either of these units?
Looking forward to your input. One way or another one of these units is coming home with me Saturday. :B

RE: Who makes lightweight 5ers?

We are looking for something that will tow comfortably with our 2008 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Crew Cab 5.3L. The husband likes to be able to do 65 mph up the hills. We don't want to overwork the truck.

Who makes lightweight 5ers?

I looked at a couple of Keystone Cougars this weekend which I really liked. I am trying to find out who else makes lightweight 5th wheels.
Thanks for any ideas!

Anyone have roof repairs done?

In Febraury a small limb the length of my arm speared through the roof of my camper. We had the insurance adjustor come out take a look at it and they cut us a check for the repairs. I took the camper to the dealer we purchased it from the first week in March. I told them I would be back in late April to pick it up. We went to get it this weekend and were mortified to see what they had done to it.
We went out to inspect the unit and first noticed gobs adhesive dripped done the front bunk end. I went inside where I noticed about a quater of a can of adhesive dropped on my throw rug and easy up canopy. Then we looked at the ceiling where we first noticed black finger prints and blue marks all over the newly installed ceiling panel. The new molding they put up had wood putty thrown all over it and the wall. The cupboards over the sink were taken down to install the panel and now don't properly shut. The air conditioner is not flush monted to the ceiling any longer. The worst thing is the ceiling is now able to be pushed up and down where the repairs were performed. We got on top of the roof and tried to walk along it and cannot go past the middle of the camper because the roof is so unstable it feels as though you foot is going to go through it. My roof should be able to support a 135lbs of my weight. The funniest part is when we were told that the 20 year master tech veteran is the one who performed the work. If this is the best they have working then I am scarred!
Needless to say the camper sits at the dealer's still. This is a huge dealship and I thought the quality of work would have been better. I had a horrible experience with them in the past from a previous unit I owned that wasn't all service related issues, but they made it right in the end. I am hoping that this turns out ok. I was told that they think the adhesive didn't adhere in the ceiling panels when they were replaced. I can't believe that this would cause the roof to become this unstable.
Anyone have any similar experiences with roof repairs? I need some reassurance that this can be repaired correctly!

RE: New EPA advisory on flea & tick medications

I'm not sure how well it works but I have a friend that uses and herbal mixture on her two animals. I have also been leary of putting the frontline plus on Maddy, and only do so if I feel it is really called for. I don't live in an area with an overbundance of ticks or fleas, and typically don't have a problem.

RE: Cortland, NY

I have camped there before for my sister's wedding. I live about 10 mins from there. I am over there just about every weekend walking my dog. I grew up in that park and love it.

I personally like Fillmore Glen State Park. They don't have full hookups, but it is a nice kept park. It is about 30 miles outside of Cortland.

RE: Park Recommendation Near Binghampton, NY?

I take my dog over to Chenango Valley SP all the time to walk. It is a nice park, they now only have one loop with electric that is typically booked up. Most sites are decent size and easy to get in and out of, no pull thrus. They have a nice beach area, swimming, and fishing. It is about 5 miles off from
I-88, signs mark the way to the park. It would take about 15 mins to get back on I-81 north to head to Thousand Islands. If you do decide to go with an electric site 215 & 216 are both nice spacious sites.

This is also another neat market to hit up while you are there. I never knew what a true farmers market was until I went here. Green Dragon Market
