I found some new Suntech 170 Watt 24 Volt Solar Panels for $425.00.

1) will these work on my Lance and
2) is this a good deal?

Thanks. I'm ignorant to Solar power, but I want to get it! Sick of running the genny.

Solar panels are a good addition to any RV.Combine them with a decent "brand-name " gennny and you are set to go camping almost anywhere on this planet.

HUHH???

According to the prices you posted in that thread you paid $5.47 per watt c/w $2.50 that the OP has found. IMO any price on solar panels below $4/watt is a good price. Over $5/watt means you overpaid IMHO.

I just purchased 130W panels from Sun Electronics for $1.98/watt. They sell 150W, too, at the same price.

http://sunelec.com/

If you're in the area of Sun Electronics you can pick the panels up at their warehouse (Miami,FL or Phoenix, AZ) and save $55 shipping.

Bought a new Sunforce 60032 30 Amp Digital Charge Controller digital charge controller for $83 with free shipping from Amazon.com. Camping World sells it for about $125.

Easy to install if you take your time. And, everthing works perfectly.

Good Luck.

Use an MPPT controller. It'll take a higher input voltage and drop it to the proper voltage for your batteries. Outback and Xantrex and others offer them.
