Slidout sticking or shorting out

Twice, once at a camp ground a larg sofa/dineing table slide refused to close. After locating the instructions on manual closing and removing the rubber boot incaseing the motor it closed on it's own. The other time was in my driveway. Again it closed on it's own after I crawed under and checked some conections. Which is the problem. I found nothing that appeared to be loose or shorting out. It has worked several times ok since. Any thoughts on where to look, motor, wiring, the brake release not working, ECT. Thanks

RE: 1/2 ton 5th wheel

Get ready for the firestorm from all the weight police, and big three diehards. Get yourself a Tundra, it will handle anything upto and under 10000# with nor problem. You will not know your towing anythink that heavy, it will have power to spare. Down side small fuel tank, poor fuel mileage. Towed a 32 footer 9500# to Hilton Head and back from Columbus, Oh. no problems. Watch out hear come the weight police.
Get one and have fun.
