RE: Travelling to Alberta and need some suggestions

If you want to park the camper and drive, I think the Lake Louise campground would be a good choice as it is fairly central, easy day trips to the most popular sights anyway. Jasper would be a long day trip but do-able.

RE: The Fridge is Tripping the GFI

Well I turned the fridge on last night and it started fine on AC, didn't trip the breaker (probably because I dropped $60 on a volt meter to test it). Which got me thinking maybe it is moisture as I did wash the trailer on the weekend. I'll try checking the circuit board tonight for any critters, otherwise maybe I'll take note of conditions the next time it happens.
Thanks for all the replies!

RE: The Fridge is Tripping the GFI

That's a good thought, but it is usually very dry up here and the fridge has worked fine for the last 3 years, just recently it has started doing this. I'm going to try to take it apart tonight and see if there is anything obvious.

The Fridge is Tripping the GFI

When I first turn on the fridge in my TT, the GFI in the bathroom trips within a few seconds. However if I start the fridge on propane for ~5 minutes then switch it over to AC, it works fine. Any ideas? From searching this site it sounds like it could be the heating element but it seems odd that it will work after the propane gets things going.

RE: MAXXIS 225/75 r15 question about load range?

Each tire is rated to 2540 lbs at 65 psi so you should be okay. You should be 660 lbs plus whatever your hitch weight is under the max.

RE: Re-caulking my Roof

Check out larryjm and click his eternabond link in his signature. Very helpful
Wow. After looking through Larryjm's Eternabond post I think I'm convinced to go that route. Now I just have to find some.

RE: Re-caulking my Roof

Sounds like I should look into Eternabond. But what about the side seams between the roof and the sidewalls? Would the tape work there?

Re-caulking my Roof

My TT is 11 years old now and I would like to replace the original caulking on the rubber roof as it is starting to crack and I've noticed leaks (which I've since fixed). My question is does anyone have any tips to remove the old caulk, what should I use to re-caulk? Any other advice?

RE: Going from 205/75R15 to 225/75R15?

Thanks for the replies everyone, I checked last night and the bigger tires will fit, there is a ton of room, not sure about the rim width though. I bought this trailer off a friend and this will be my 4th year in it. The tires have served me well and no I haven't really taken care of them, they've never been covered, they aren't inflated to max pressure. I could probably get another year out of them but I think I am pushing my luck and figured I might as well upgrade to a D rated tire since I'm replacing them anyway.

Going from 205/75R15 to 225/75R15?

I have a 25' Komfort trailer which is about 6500 lbs loaded. I need to replace the 10 year old Goodyears, which are 205/75R15 Load Range C. I have heard good things about the Maxxis tires and am thinking of going slightly bigger, 225/75R15, so I can move up to Load Range D. Does anyone see a problem with this? It is only a 1.2" change in diameter so as long as it still clears the fenders I should be good right?
