RE: stealth in a excel/wide body?

I have a 2003 PW Excel, V8 wide body. I live in metro San Diego and for a few years I parked on the street without any problems. Commercial parking lots are a piece of cake. I applied one of those approx. 14" x 10" clear wide angle magnifier sheets to the passenger back window and never needed anything else for backing up / parking, etc. Oh, wait!! Was your query addressed to guys only? If so, just ignore my response.

RE: Galley faucet replacement question

Whoa! I'm so glad I didn't read this thread before replacing my 2003 PW Excel galley faucet or I never would have. I changed it because i found the space (height and distance) between the faucet and the sink to be inadequate for washing dishes. I replaced with a bar faucet and added a screw-on multi-directional swivel tip to the end of the faucet. Couldn't be happier with it. BTW. I'm a 65 yo, skinny marink woman, and I changed mine in about 45 minutes, start to finish, right there in the Home Depot parking lot

RE: washing dishes-is grease and food safe down sink drain?

Depending on what is left on the plates / in the pots, I use paper towels or a rubber spatula to wipe off into the trash can. I also use a rubber tub for washing of pots, dishes, utensils. In most cases, unless the water is relatively clear, I empty the tub into the black tank. Legal or not, please be responsible and don't dump your mess on to the ground. It attracts unwanted insects and critters. Imagine if all RVers did that. In terms of going all paper and plastic all the time: i use paper plates for certain hard to clean entres, but that's it. Our landfills will love you but many of us... not so much.

freecycle.com is another venue you may want to try.

RE: 2003 MB Cruiser (near) Complete Rebuild

Great job! PS "The latches are all those push-button kind that lie flush until you need a knob. Very clean looking I think. Except that someone (and I won’t mention her name but here’s a hint – I’m married to her) left one of them popped out and messed up the picture." No... The popped out latch is great as a comparison! I'm quite sure that was her intention and there's much to be said for her foresight. :-)

RE: Can you heat a Class B motorHome the sam way as a car.

Troll or not, the responses, as usual, will be helpful to some.

RE: Carrying firearms in RV

Woman. senior citizen, solo RVer here. If I felt so paranoid as to warrant carrying a weapon, I'd opt to stay home with my doors locked and my curtains drawn, while hiding under my bed. If it's your time to go, it's your time to go.

RE: Spanikopita Recipe?

1 box of Phyllo . Comes frozen. Let thaw out in refrig. day before. 1 1/2 lbs of frozen spinach. ? 2 bunches of scallions crop fine white and green parts. Discard wilted ends. 1 lb of Feta (add more if you want more cheese) crumbled fine. ?I buy the crumbled Feta from Costco in a container then crumble large pieces some more. ½ lb unsalted butter. I have used ½ butter and ½ margarine too. ?Melt butter after you have all your ingredients combined and ready to 1/3 cup of Olive oil. Approx. can use canola oil too. 3 to 4 eggs Optional ingredients. Some add dill spice, salt and pepper. I don’t. Pan 9x13 approx. With 1 and ½ inch height. Basting brush. First prep (Day before you can prep.) Defrost and squeeze spinach dry as possible Be sure Phyllo had been defrosted in refrig. Night or two days before. Take box out on counter while you are prepping. Do not open box yet. Lightly Sauté scallions in olive oil Combine sauté scallions with drained spinach. In separate bowl Beat eggs then add Feta cheese. Add spinach mix to Feta and egg mix. Blend well. Pre heat oven for 350 Now you are ready to layer Phyllo in pan. Spray or use melted butter for btm of pan. Open Phyllo box and remove Phyllo from plastic package. lay in a kitchen towel and cover while you work so it does not dry out. Melt butter. (microwave is fine but be sure to cover so it does not splatter) Take a layer at a time and place in pan. If too big you can overlap or cut excess with knife as you go along. Now butter each layer Continue for about 12 layers. ( half of package) Add all spinach and feta filling Continue with the remaining layers one at a time and butter. You might need more melted butter. When finished cut the portion sizes. (If you do this after it is cooked it will crumble on you) Bake in 350 oven for about 45 min. At the beginning cover with foil for about 20 to 25 min to allow it to cook without burning the top layers. Remove foil and continue to cook you want the top to be golden brown so depending on your oven it might take longer.

RE: mold in fresh water filler neck

All good suggestions above. I have a habit of not drinking water from my FW tank after sanitizing until it's been emptied (from other uses: dishwashing, hand washing, toilet flushing, etc.) and filled again a couple of times. Just my personal preference.

RE: Camping with friends- Meals

I often meet a friend for a weekend at a campground. If I'm bringing a lasagne, I let her know in case she's interested in having some. Other times she'll tell me she's bringing steaks if I'm interest. In those cases the other usually offers to bring something to fill out the menu. Other times we just agree that we're responsible for our own dinners but will dine together in one or the other's RV. Usually her C vs my B. Lunches and breakfasts are always our own responsibility but there's always enough to offer.

RE: Where Do You Place Your Trash Can Or Bag?

I have 2 small rectangular ones between the back of the driver's seat and the closet. One for recyclables, the other for trash.

RE: Do we use regular toilet paper ?????

I used the same brand I use at home. No problems yet. I also pour 2-3 gals of water down the toilet into my 12 gallon black tank after I rinse / dump the black tank. I like to ensure there's enough water in there just as a precaution.

RE: Not your average "full timers"...

I share custody with my Ex-husband and he is currently in arrears with child support, so I'm not getting any help from him Seems like your deadbeat ex is the one who should be living in a TT in order to support the children he sired. I'd go after him with everything I had.

RE: Finding a Used B

The "National Multi-List Service" was discussed (and dissed) in another thread. I'd search for the thread for you but I'm on my iPhone which makes it a tedious chore. Bottom line: consensus was AVOID.
