RE: Slide out

In for extended storage (like over the winter), but oftentimes they are left out as it sits beside the house between uses.
Same here.

RE: Slider Hitch danger?

Yesterday we were visiting with a dealer whom I respect and trust and he said that he will not sell a slider hitch because of reports of them moving when not supposed to. He's been there in business a long time and is a fairly large dealer(motorhomes more than trailers). This caught me by surprise. Anyone else hear this? We have a manual slider and no problems at all. How could he sell a 5th wheel to someone with a short box and not deal in sliders?
Never heard of such a thing. Ask him to give evidence of such reports - I would bet that there are very few, if none at all!
More hogwash from a dealer.....

RE: tablet with flash player?

Well, it does not work in FIREFOX on the Galaxy Note 10.1 either. I just tested it thoroughly.

RE: tablet with flash player?

Just download or transfer to your devices microSD Card, and use a file manager to locate the file and click on Flash .apk. If you don't have a file manager already installed, you can select from a number of free ones available from the Google Play store.
This process worked fine for my old Motorola Xoom. However I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, with JB on it, and even with Dolphin Browser it will not work.
Oh yes, you can install it from the SD card, but try to set it to 'on' from within Dolphin and it gives this message: "Flash Player not supported for Android 4.1" - then it says "Adobe has officially discontinued support for Flash Player on Android. Playing Flash will crash Dolphin so we have turned it off to ensure the most stable browsing experience....."
I have Firefox installed as well - haven't tested that as yet.

RE: Waiting for response from rv.net

I just read that Camping World just bought rv.net domain so maybe something going on with the transition.
Actually CampingWorld/Good Sam/Affinity are already the owners of RV.NET.
What I read was that Good Sam just bought the RV.COM domain from Dometic.
Go there: RV.COM and see a message from Good Sam explaining. :)

RE: McKenzie Starwood

My next door neighbor has a Starwood and he has regretted buying it.
It has delaminated all over the place, especially at the back. He also had a stress crack at the lower left of the bedroom slide. Had that all repaired and now it has cracked again.
He has had the rear of the trailer fixed twice now, and is not a happy camper!

RE: STINKIE HOT WATER, ONLY IN THE BATH ROOM.

I'm guessing you are using untreated well water. That seems to be the worst. The smell is coming from hydrogen sulfate in the water heater.
I would agree with this - I have a well and when filling the 5er's fresh water tank, I always run it through one of those in-line blue water filters that you can buy at CW or Wal-Mart.
Never had a problem with smell in the camper's water.

RE: Towing a Trailer...Behind My 5th Wheel ?

Just my two cents it's unsafe in so many ways, o well folks will do what they want.:S
Well, you are entitled to your opinion. As one who safely, in so many ways, has towed double for many years, I disagree with you. :S

It is my understanding that in Calif. you have to have a class A Drivers Lic. to double tow.
He asked about Illinois and Wisconsin - not CA. :S
