RE: Atwood RV Furnace keeps tripping 10amp breaker

That is 12V DC circuit breaker for the blower motor.
As suggested..your blower motor is the problem

RE: DEF, even dumber and blind too.

Having the DEF fill under the hood just helps keep you from putting diesel in it.
Putting DEF in diesel fill is easily done.........so is gasoline.
I do wish that there was a color standard for fill nozzles
Black for gas
Green for diesel
Yellow for DEF
Red for off-road diesel
Pink for E fuel
Any color......just a standard that ALL stations had to follow.
We used 35% Urea in boilers for Nox control
That stuff is nasty.....very corrosive
But will green your lawn up dang near over night.

RE: Waste water question

You have two separate waste drains
You have a 'Y' connector for hooking hoses from tanks to sewer dump
You have no problems other than extra hoses
And that 3" hose from galley tank to 'Y' connector is NOT going to clog up like a garden hose will
I think you have it covered......go camping & enjoy!

RE: Sorta Tangent....... COAST TO COAST

You called them.........
Yes I have C2C and NO I don't pay much attention to renewal offers.
I'll fully aware of when ALL renewals occur and I pay when I decide.
We shifted to 'paperless' years ago and don't get junk mail and if I get an early e-mail reminder....click it's gone
I was not tickled when C2C got Good Sam'd..........they already messed up the directory. Just waiting for the next, new and improved involvement....urggg

RE: Problem With Water Heater On Gas

"There's a burning kind of smell with some smoke and a little flames coming out of the what I assume is the exhaust".........
Yeah buddy you need to clean the combustion chamber/exhaust tube.
Something has set up home inside and you are burning down their house...which is better than burning down yours
AS suggested.......run a long wire down exhaust and out combustion chamber, tie a rag to it and pull back out. Then blow it out with compressed air.

RE: Rear Leveling Jacks will not extend

Could be jammed in closed position....have your tried to manually crank down and then use electric?
I think that’s exactly what happened...once I "jiggled" the legs from both sides it worked. How do I manually crank them down. I don’t see anywhere to attach the manual crank. Do I take the black rubber cover of the end of the motor?
My manual crank is a hex head bolt on opposite side vs on motor side.
You need to check how your stabilizers are configured.....and see if you have info in a manual.
But motor driven stabilizers should have a manual means of operating them.

RE: Rear Leveling Jacks will not extend

Could be overloading if you are using them to 'level' vs 'stabilize' trailer.
Could be jammed in closed position....have your tried to manually crank down and then use electric?
Rear 'stabilizer' jacks should be wired directly from battery so look for an in-line fuse or a DC circuit breaker (small box with two studs/wire on studs).
Fuse could be blown or DC breaker needs reset (small button on side of box).
Follow positive cable from battery....small wire....under trailer tongue/frame

RE: need answer to common frig question

If you have a temp control adjustment on upper panel (1-5 etc.) then just make sure the bulb end of thermistor just protrudes out top of clip and then clip it to right fin mid-position.
IF you have a fridge that you can NOT adjust temp on upper panel (pre-set temp control) then clip thermistor on right fin and move up to make fridge section cooler.....down to make fridge section less cool (should be a 'label' on side wall)

RE: full timing with black water Q

FT for 6 yrs............20 (+) yrs of camping and don't use chemicals.
Smells inside rig from black means toilet bowl seal is not holding water, toilet floor flange not sealing, cracked vent line OR running bathroom exhaust fan when flushing.
Grey tanks can smell just as bad as black.
"p" traps dry (no water), 'air admittance valve' not closing properly (located under bathroom and kitchen sinks on drain line between 'p' trap and tank...they should open when draining tank so 'p' water isn't sucked out and then close)
OR cracked vent line
After draining and flushing black tank (water runs clear---no chunks) are you adding a couple gallons of water back into tank so bottom stays wet?
You want to keep bottom of tank wet so 'stuff' doesn't stick and dry out.
Also are you waiting until tank is pretty much full before dumping.
You want a high liquid level when dumping to carry solids/tp out and down drain line.....otherwise you can end up with 'piles' which WILL stink.

RE: Unwanted guests, lets hear your story....

well, I think you have to treat this young man like a 10 or 12 year old kid.
when he takes your chair and doesn't give it back, you must tell him that your legs or feet or whatever hurts when you stand too long and he needs to get up and let you sit down again.
when he overstays his welcome, you must simply tell him that it's time for him to leave now... but he can come back tomorrow or day after tomorrow or whatever.
If courteous but direct talk doesn't sink in, you will have to tell his parents.. and after that, the park manager.
It isn't fair to you or your friends to be expected to entertain a stranger just because the stranger doesn't understand socially polite rules of behavior.
That is a exactly what you need to do.......well said.
Some folks just need 'direct' instructions/requests
Over the past 6 yrs. traveling we have only encountered two situations with 'uninvited' guest.
First time we were sitting out with our dog under awning slipping drinks when a guy with a small ankle biter just walked up and sat down at table.
His dog snarled and ours approached.....knowing no good was going to come from this I got between them and his dog bit me.
Time to go and no you are not welcome back.
Other event occurred at 11pm in a COE CG when somebody knocked on the window of the roadside slide out.
Out the door I and dog went........no body to be found :H
15 mins. later a knock on door.
Opened door with dog in lead.......dude jumped back and in a stutter asked "Do you know what time it is?"
Yep......my dogs bedtime. He left.

RE: Saved the day with a new faucet!

I'd never buy a kitchen sink or bathroom sink faucet from an RV Parts place.
Just end up with the same RV junk.
Home Depot/Lowes/Ace......better selection/pricing
Now if I could find a better RV shower faucet vs the cheapo junk used.

RE: looking for switch to change hot water tank to electric

Just more confusion.......
Our Atwood 10 gallon has double switch on inside panel..one electric, one gas and no other switch
Really depends on which Brand and Model of water heater you have.
Is yours a Suburban Brand or an Atwood Brand and which model?
Both brands have made changes over the years in how they operate.

RE: Generator/Electrical

Exact location......no
But the wires from shore power and the wires from generator will both go to a 'box' then to your AC panel.
Sounds like the transfer switch is stuck on shore power.......burnt contacts/bad relays in transfer switch.

RE: How long to get cold!

Wow,
I know my TT is brand new and therefore so is the fridge, but I ran mine on LP and it was cold enough to load the groceries into it in about 3-4 hours. I guess as it ages I should expect it to take longer?
Time factor is a variable....
All depends on outside temp and inside temp/fridge temp prior to turning on.
One very important thing to remember......Off Level operation can cause clogging. It is an 'accumulative damage' so the more times operated off level the more clogging can occur.
Our fridge is 7 yrs. old and works very well....still only need to set on #2 for great cooling (#3 setting in really hot temps).
