RE: Hi all newbie here... What is the top rated Travel Trailer?

First - welcome to the forum.... Secondly - Oh Boy are you going to get a range of answers.....wait and see. My suggestion is to go to a few RV shows and see what interests you - from there do some investigating as to good bad or indifferent reviews on what you like...... Personally, we have a Sunline T2499 and love it and yes Sunline is our of business and yes I purchased it AFTER the closed, I loved the quality of my smaller (Sunline T1950) and wanted to grab a 2499 before it was too late.

RE: Weight Gain = Heart Problems

I have been battling Coronary Heart Disease since 2004 - stints didn't work and after 7 heart caths and gaining "mucho" weight I had by-pass surgery in April. Since the surgery the first thing I do every morning is weigh myself IF I see a gain more than 2 pounds I'm supposed to call the doc......too much salt will add that in no time flat. Apparently the "mucho" weight gain was due to the salt intake and the bodies inability to get ride of it......before the by-pass, I was told that I had CHF and became a diabetic. Well I'll suffer with no salt, no fat and eating healthy as long as my feet are on this side of the dirt! Oh since surgery I have lost weight, excerise daily - and I am no longer suffering from either CHF and am no longer a diabetic. Hope all goes well for you T-Bone and TRY to stay away from that salt - it is after all a killer to some individuals!

RE: HELP, Smelly Bathroom

We stayed in a campground with full hook ups. I tried closing the black tank until it was closer to full and that didnt help either. Has anyone had a similar issue? Any advice is gretaly appreciated. Did you have the black tank open with your full hook ups???? If you did you might have a buildup of "piled up stuff (poop)".....You should no have the black tank open until it is full. Try cleaning the black tank using a powerful stream of water or a black tank wand.....see if the tank is REALLY clean!

RE: Why not wave??????

We live in a small town where everyone knows everybody - we drive with our left hand in a wave position at all times.....:) So when we travel it is not that important that we wave to everyone!:B But the next time we cross paths I'll make sure we wave back at you!;)

RE: Allowing a friend to borrow my C for awhile.

The insurance aspect has been ironed out. He buys a rider from my insurance company. And as far as the insurance company knows, I am not charging him. Just being a friend. And no money will be changing hands cause like I said, we swap services. Then why are you asking about how much to charge him????? Daily rental rate vs. SERVICES TO BE RENDERED?????

RE: Allowing a friend to borrow my C for awhile.

Well first of all I would NEVER loan/charge my friend to use my TT - never mind a C. If this is something that you really want to do - first check with your insurance company and then check on line to see what others are charging for rental fees. EDIT: I just check Adventure Vehicle Rentals and they charge $249.00 per day+++ for add'l insurances.....

RE: campsite proud of their dumpstation

Well I just read theRates & Reservationsfor this campground and no where does it indicate a "fee" to dump - that is listed on their facilities page - nor does it indicate a booking fee......I think they need to consult with a website designer and have their site updated if they are going to charge this rates. I pay a booking fee to NYS (Reserve America) when I make reservations for our state facilities, which I gladly pay 'cause I'm only paying $18.00 per nite in the state park, and no it does not have any electric, water or electric....but that is my choice!

RE: Hershey, Philadelphia, Lancaster, Help

We recently stayed at Buttonwood Campground, near Harrisburg - about 1 1/2 hours from Hershey I would recommend this campground to anyone - the owners and staff are the greatest!

RE: Sliding shade for bathroom Skylight-

Google day/night blinds and you will come up with many places to purchase them .....BUT.....I'd be afraid of it getting moldy in the shower area! You might be better off with something (hard insulation board) that you can stuff into the skylight...

RE: Extend-a-shower curtain rod

I have a question - how would you keep the curtain within the shower area to keep the water from running all over the floor?????
