RE: Travel Channel RV Show

My niece sent me an article about that show coming up. The good thing is that the host, Bret Michaels, has been camping since he was a little kid in the family Winnebago, and spends loads of time now living in one on the road. So he'll know what he's talking about...won't be just another one of those empty head Barbie doll type hosts. If it's half as entertaining as the mod pics people post here, it will be fun to watch. I love to see all the great ideas even if we only install a shelf now and then. Not "Barbie" but "Ken". :S

RE: cash grab by Crown Villa Resort

My child would never do that. :h Being a guest, whether paying or not, usually does not mean giving approval to destroy property or things. Don't agree, move on.

RE: I did the "Cheap Handling Fix"!

My 2008, F53 seems to handle just fine so either I know nothing about a nice ride or we own a fluke. Please tell me exactly what is accomplished by doing the fix. What will be better than before. Thank you.

RE: Dental Professional Question - Sonicare

10+ years using with only one professional cleaning done and even that one was not worth the $$$$ because there was no difference. Also used Glide floss until I recently switched to REACH Total Care by J&J. Finish things up with some mouthwash.

RE: Best gas card

Penfed limits you to 12 transactions per day. OK for buying gas, but not for a day of shopping. That must be some awesome day(s) of shopping!!!!

RE: Dealing with moisture in the fridge

I am fortunate because our MH sits in my 2nd lot next to our house. After turning off and emptying the fridge I leave all 4 doors open overnight. The next day if any moisture is left I wipe it dry then a quick wipe over with a paper towel lightly sprayed with bleach and shut the doors. Moved to SW FL. in 1986 and never a problem.

RE: F53 Oil Change

I buy a 5qt container and a 1qt. Fill filter with 1 qt and left over goes in filler tube then refill 5 times. 5qt container is cheaper than 5-1qt containers. I have a large oil catch container and only a few drops don't find their way into it. Did oil/filter change this AM and had a thought about the Fumoto.

RE: Debit or Credit Card?

Short version.... Debit is money you have. Credit is money you borrow. Most of todays money problems comes from borrowed money. Credit is keeping my cash building interest until bill is due and then pay it off immediately. No borrowing at all. PenFed has 5% off on fuel so why pay cash or debit unless they match the 5%. Discover has 5% cash back at times, then take the 5% cash back to purchase a store Gift Card where a $25.00 card will cost $20.00 then get an extra 20% off at the store on item(s) purchased. Good golly, it's a no brainer. Why would anyone use debit or cash.

RE: My last time in Best Buy

I wonder if the OP ever owned a retail business. Get over it, more important things to be concerned about.

RE: F53 22,000 chassis factory anti-sway bar

The stock hangers should work. With a little elbow grease I was able to move them. How much of a difference did the change-over make?

RE: Treadmill search

Very serious here.....first thing to do is go to a real running store and walk on their TM so they can video your walking which will then allow them to suggest good walking shoes for your foot plant/gait. A running store will usually give you a month to try the shoes and if they do not work for you, you can bring them back and try something different or get a full refund. As suggested, a used TM is most likely advisable because of cost and enthusiasm. Proper walking can become addictive and lead to marathons and triathlons. Ask me how I know.....:W

Feedback on 2000-Rialta HD

We are going to look at a 2000 HD with 60,000 miles. Only going to use it for day tripping to triathlon races so no real long term camping. I was hoping to get some feedback from any forum members, be it personal or from friends. Don't want to lay down some $$$$ if there are hidden problems that no one really talks about. Thank you very much.
