RE: OHIO RALLY GROUP 2013 SCHEDULE

Just a light sprinkle up at Shereen's moms in Rose City, MI. 4 hours of chainsaw, falling trees, dragging pieces through muck and then in a pile. Worn out in chair now with aspirin and remote control. Randu

RE: How can I tell if rv roof is EPDM or TPO

TPO is very smooth when clean almost glass like smooth. EPDM has a slight to moderate texture. TPO has like a vinyl surface bonded to the rubber. Randu

RE: My CampingWorld Experience So Far....

I have found many small Mom and Pop RV stores are priced better than CW on the average. Got charged $7.00 for a replacement latch on vacation and then found one at my local small guy for 3.25. That was the last CW adventure. Also many on line sources as I got a P3 brake controller from Amazon $70.00 less than CW and it includes a wiring harness for easy plug and use. I enjoy this forum and realize that it is owned by the CW group but some of the management practices at both a corporate and store level are just plain bad. End the pain and just take your business someplace where you are treated like a real person.

RE: Fantasticvent stuck?

Atwood bought Fantastic fan last year then closed the Michigan offices, warehouse, and production facility. I think I recall that the products are now stocked in LaGrange, IN. Looks like the end of one of the best customer service programs in not only the industry but in the country !
Now back to the issue--- Gently pry up from roof side with someone inside putting gentle pressure on the knob manually. Remember to pull knob down to disengage from motor to spin manually. I cleaned and coated my seals with baby powder each spring and no more sticking. Silicone works also but I had to retreat every few months if I started to get a slight stick.

RE: TrailAir pinbox

Do you have air pressure set so you can see top of arrows? I found that for me I get a better ride if I keep the pressure set so the trailer floats from bottom of arrow head to about 1/2 inch below on normal highway driving. Randu

RE: Best route Columbus Ohio to Myrtle Beach

23 south out of Columbus.
35 south from Chillicothe into WV and along river to 64
64 to I-77 south
I-77 to just across NC line to 74/52
52 to Winston Salem then 40 east to Greensboro to 220 south.
Just south of Rockingham take 74 east to Hamlet and then 38 east Bennettsville SC and then 501 will take you right into MB.
Some 2 lane road but this is the most direct way I have found. Looks like your in the Findlay area so for reference -Its very close to 700 miles from the Walmart, Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans Outback exit that is just north of 23 on 75 if you know the area. The Shell station at that exit is a normal fuel stop for me on my way down. There is a few nice campgrounds near Wytheville, VA but can't advise on others as I usually do a overnight in Walmarts or Cracker Barrel lots.

RE: is new camper actually new?

That is a dealer trade no doubt. Manufactures don't build something to stock on their lot for 5-6 months. Most build to a dealer order or a customer order through a dealer. In most places there is a difference between a sold "Customer" order taking priority over a "Dealer" stock order. Randu

RE: Can Anyone Tell Me What Year....

I purchased a 2000 Travel Supreme back in 2000 and it was wood frame. At the time I could have ordered it with the new aluminum frame and many other manufactures were already changed over to aluminum. I'd guess that most built after 2001 will be aluminum. Most water damage rot shows in roof, sidewalls and floor which are still made with wood products. Randu

RE: MICHIGAN!

Since you're coming up from Indiana, no trip to Michigan is complete without a stop in Kalamazoo. While there, take in the Gilmore Car Museum ( www.gilmorecarmuseum.org. ) and the Air Zoo ( www.airzoo.org. ).
Those were 5 & 6 on my list. The Air Zoo has some real diverse aircraft including F-14 Tomcat and SR-71 Blackbird as well as WWII classics. I seen the P-40 that is hanging in the lobby area actually fly many times in the early to mid 80's and got to meet the pilot Sue Parish

RE: Slide within a Slide Fifth Wheel

Interesting concept but hate the sink in the bedroom. Not sure if the floor gain justifies the extra mecanical moving parts and seals. Appears that extra structure would increase pin weight. Randu

RE: To block or not to block...that is the question

The right way to do it is above in photos. You can go to any height using this method so if you really need 6", you can have it built that way without risk. Randu

RE: Brand New Keystone Sprinter 266rbs and it has a leak

I'd call it very normal. I alway check the fittings where the pipes meet any of the faucets in the cabinets. I'll bet a nights camping that you will be able to snug almost every pipe union twist fitting. Always able to twist about a quater turn on every new trailer and I've had 4 of them. I recheck every spring as part of my dewinterizing process and still find 1 to snug up every now and again.
They will loosen up over time from vibration as well as pressure changes. Randu
