RE: Anti-Virus software Win7 64 bit???

I use Norton Internet Security and it will exclude a file wherever it is located. https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/norton-internet-security/20.4.0.40/solutions/v1911469_NIS_Retail_2013_en_us?actstat=activated&buildname=Retail&conntype=4294967295&coreservice=Startup+Type%3Aauto+State%3ARunning&cpu=AMD64+Family+16+Model+10+Stepping+0&curdefs=20140305.009&datetime=03-06-2014+5%3A22%3A51+AM+GMT&defbrowser=Firefox&dsfree=25.28&dstotal=85.76&endpointid={455FB0C2-E836-4E4D-91E5-DA54896706F7}&entsrc=help&env=prod&hbguid=455FB0C2-E836-4E4D-91E5-DA54896706F7&hcmode=false&heartbeatID=455FB0C2-E836-4E4D-91E5-DA54896706F7&helpid=IDH_NAVW_OPTIONS_THREAT_CAT_EXCLUSIONS_NEWEDIT&ieversion=9.11.9600.16518&layout=Retail&layouttype=ESD&lic_attr=21124114&lic_type=16&memload=35&memtotal=6934&os=windows&oslang=iso%3AENG&oslocale=iso%3AUSA&osvers=6.3&osversion=6.3+9600.16452.amd64fre.winblue_gdr.131030-1505&partnerid=1000600&partnername=Retail&plang=sym%3AEN&plgid=2&plid=2&psn=HKVMRXGQC377&remdays=285&skuf=21171505&skum=21234721&skup=21195122&spversion=0.0&sublength=290&subremaining=285&substatus=current&symskucurrent=21195122&symskumedia=21234721&utm_medium=product&utm_source=symc&vendorid=1000600

RE: St. Augustine, FL Recommendations

I see you have two dogs. The beach at North Beach RV did allow dogs on the beach in the past and worth checking out. Not many other beaches in Florida allow dogs. Jim

RE: florida keys camping

If you want laid back take a look at http://www.geigerkeymarina.com/ It's near mm10 so a short ride into Key West. Has a restaurant/bar onsite right on the water. It's not fancy but we loved it. You can book fishing trips at the site, or fish from your RV site. I just look at their site and it has had a facelift since we were there. Still the same laid back, friendly place. Watch the video for a feel of the place. jim

RE: Interstate Deteriation - is it just me?

The roads are all bad due to the lack of gas taxes. Oh wait, there should be more taxes now at 4 bucks a gallon, shouldn't there???? http://mysite.verizon.net/resurfn8/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/.pond/Exxon.JPG.w180h265.jpg Gas taxes are per gallon and not price. As the price goes up people use less so taxes are less. Some have suggested that vehicles be taxed by mileage instead of fuel. Jim

RE: Grand Canyon stay inside/outside of park?

Inside the park is best. On our first trip years ago we stayed at Mather Campground and walked to the visitor center (about a mile)and other locations. The trails from Mather and Trailer Village to the Visitor Center and Rim allow bicycles. Of course there is the shuttle also. Lots of park activity at night and don't have to fight that traffic in and out of the park. Go to the NPS site and look at the maps. Jim

RE: Devils Tower, WY

Lots of rolling hills in that area so the roads are good, but you can only see Devil's Tower from HWY 24. If you get that close you might as well just go in the park and get a good look. There is a 1-mi walking path around the base and is interesting. Going via Hwy 14 to 24 to 112 to HWY 212 adds about 1 hr travel time and maybe another 1 hr or so in the park to get up close to the Tower. Jim

RE: Mobile, Ala. I-10 west,165 to Rt.45 to Waynesboro, Miss.???

I like this route and have used it a number of times. From I-10 take exit 27 HWY-90 to I-165 (good 4-lane with very little traffic) to I-65 and then Exit 13 Hwy 158 to HWY-45. The alternate route with lots more traffic is I-10 to I-65. Jim :C

RE: Overnight Near Sheridan WY

We spend a couple nights at the KOA. Nice place and we did a day trip to The Little Big Horn site. It just North of town. And they do have some Electric only sites to save a few bucks and some trees. Jim :)

RE: I65 in Birmingham AL awful!!

I would stay clear of I59 in that area for the same reason especially between Gadsden and Fort Payne ALA... A big bump every 8-feet... I don't know if any of that has been recently fixed or not... Roy Ken They have completed about 10mi of new road out of Gadsden and work is in process to patch the rest of I-59 to the Georgia line. They are cutting out small sections and putting in cement patches. It looks like they have also ground it down to smooth it out. Its a lot better but a good coat of blacktop would be great. This entire area is 55 mph although most of it is done. I-459 in Birmingham is falling apart and on my last trip I used I-59 through town and it also had some bad areas. Jim

RE: Overnight near Ogalla / North Platte, NE

Right at Ogallala -- Country View CG. Worked fine for us, nice pull throughs. Check the assigned site for mud, though. We also stayed at Country View. It is South of the Interstate at Ogallala exit. Turn left at the John Deere dealership. Jim

RE: Overnight stop between Twin Falls and Salt Lake area

A few years ago we stopped in Hagerman, ID about 30mi west of Twin Falls. Spent a few days checking out the area. We stated at Hagerman RV Village Nice little park with trees. It's on Hwy 30 just inside Hagerman. Jim :)

I average 50mph and includes gas and rest breaks but keep lunch to a minimum. Do 250-300 mi per day. Jim

RE: Exit Now Directory

According to overstock.com, the 2012 edition of Exit Now was published 03/30/2013. But, it's out of stock. Is Next Exit similar to Exit Now? Next Exit is a very similar product but I like Exit Now better. Next Exit is arranged by State so when crossing State line you need to find the pages for the new State. Exit Now is arranged by Interstate numbers and it flows from state to state, I also like the ring binding. Jim
