Pace Arrow engine removal

Looking for Pace Arrow owners (late 80's thru early 90's) that have removed the engine from their rig from the dog house and then thru the driver door. How did it work out for you?? thanks Tim

RE: Jasper engines 454

Yup, I talked directly to Jasper at their 800 number in Indiana. Talked with several people that gave me conflicting answers to my questions. Nobody seems to know about a 502 option. So thats where I'm at right now. Right now its looking like Jasper will be my choice for 454. BUT I do like the fact that GM crate is about 1000 dollars cheaper for A BRAND NEW engine. Trying to get past the reman/brand new choice. Tim

RE: Jasper engines 454

Neil, Dave I spoke with several people at Jasper about the 502 and no one seems to know about it. Are you guys talking about a 502 from Jasper or another source? thanks Tim

RE: Contract for new RV Garage…?

Yup, as tahiti 16 said, its nice to be able to walk your roof and do work up there with NO crawling on hands and knee's. Glad I raised the roof on mine,

RE: Honda eu2000i

Yup, the more I think about it and the more I see it running, I think what I see is probably normal. For some reason I had this image in my head that I could run this unit and not see ANY movement. But I'm thinking I'm asking a little to much from this guy. One of these days I will get a side by side comparasion of another!!! thanks guys Tim

RE: 1991 Pace Arrow lighted entry handle?

Jeff I also have a 1991 pace arrow. Same handle. Looks like your missing the lens. Should have some wiring behind the handle plate. Remove the four screws, see whats behind it. Its just a simple lite. Lens should be avaliable almost any RV parts place. Tim

RE: Honda eu2000i

Thanks guys, I believe I should be calling this more of a SHAKING problem instead of a vibration problem. Seems to me it should just sit there and hum along with no movement. I'm runnig it on a concrete surface. I will be playing with it and running it for a while to see what happens. Maybe needs some run time? Pretty tuff around here to get gas with no ethanol, fact is its impossible.

Honda eu2000i

Finally bought the honda 2000i. Brand new. Need to hear from anybody that has one. When I run it on eco throttle, load or no load, it seems to vibrate quite a bit. Could be normal I don't know. I expected the unit to just sit there and purr away nice and steady, but that is not the case. Runs smoother with eco off. (higher RPM) Comments, thank you Tim

RE: Onan starter spinning but not engaging flywheel

removing the starter, without removing the gen. can be done, but it is a real pain. I have done it in my Pace Arrow.I suppose in some rigs it could be impossible.

RE: Fuel Vent Doesn't

Try disconnecting the vent line to be absolutely sure it is not the vent. Maybe there was a section you missed or can't see? Check the whole length of the fuel delivery hose, make sure its nor collapsed or crushed. Tim

RE: Steering tires

I believe Goodyear tires have a problem called rivering, that the company refuses to acknowledge.

RE: Valve cores stick !

If the balance beads are the problem, check your pressure with the stem at the 12:00 o'clock position. Any beads should just fall back in the tire when checking pressure. Works for me. Or the air chuck should blow them back when adding air
