RE: Torn between 28/30 ft. vs. 34/36ft.

We originally were looking at 26-30' but ended up buying the floor plan that we liked (36' bumper to tongue) towing is the same as a 30'. In Cali some spots are tight and others you can't fit but a 30' wouldn't have fit either. If you have enough truck to pull it go with the floor plan that you like the most.

RE: WOW.. 80k plus semi towed by 6.7 Diesel Uphill

Did you notice all the Ford logos shown also? If they didnt pay for the advertisement history would have blurred it all out. I'm sure Ford paid to be in that position.

RE: Your Experience with the 6.0 diesel

@Marty / Moderators / jermery I am going to suggest that certain types of posts and people who do not have personal experience with the 6.0 be asked to stay out of this thread. Namely, there is one person who have taken on the job of posting allegations culled from lawsuit files that are unfounded, unproven, and serve no purpose except to cloud over the issues. There is no question that Ford, Navistar, and many owners got burned on this engine --- but as usual, there are far more guilty parties than there are answers. My experience with this motor is based on several units whom I know the owner / operators, a tad of help from the OEM, and a fair amount of sleuthing to find the root causes --- rather than the. I would assume someone of such care and concern for valued, qualified and educated info would follow your own recommendation. How can you talk about personal experience when your only experience is reading the Internet and a what a few "friends" have told you?

RE: Placerville KOA

Kalynzoo pretty much summed it up. Great location for what your looking to do. They even have a shuttle drop off and pick up from Red Hawk. Your rig will easily fit in most sites there.

RE: Motion light help

Lets have a lottery and see if he read the instructions.. Thank you My theory still stands true. There is always one person like you in every crowd. Now for the helpful ones in the crowd. I went thru the instructions and was playing around with the light last night while camping. I could not get the light to go into motion mode. It would go into manual or daytime mode but not motion with the green light. It was 9 or do at night and dark. We were parked next to a white 5 th wheel and the only other light was from the porch light. Do you think the reflection from the awning and trailer made it think it was in day mode? What you think?

Motion light help

I have a keystone Laredo with a factory installed porch light that has a motion option. I went to the light mfg website with little help figuring out how to turn the motion detection on. It says there should be a green light but all I get is a blue flashing one. Any help?

RE: Looking at a keystone, Laredo

We currently have a 2013 29 foot keystone Laredo, BH on hold.(291 model) We have until Monday to make our decision. Just curious on comments/good or bad. She has the exterior kitchen which we want and the bunks for the kids. Looks real nice and has all the bells and whistles that they offer. Thanks for your input. Funny it might be just my eyes but I don't see a question about towing or about Laredo vs outback info. Again we are happy with our Laredo.

RE: Looking at a keystone, Laredo

We have been very happy with our 303tg model. I would buy Laredo again. We looked at the 291 too.

RE: Bully Dog Triple GT Diesel Guage/Tuner

The best tuner for a 6.0 is an sct. Team that up with a edge insight and it's a great combo. http://www.mkmcustoms.com/edgeinsightcsandsct3015combo.aspx

RE: Powerstroke Exhaust

With a good quality 4" turbo back exhaust you should notice a minimum of 100 degree drop in your egts. Most see 150-200 degree drop. On my 6.0 excursion I saw a 160-180 degree drop and overall a diesel just likes to breath. Factory exhaust don't let it do that efficient enough.
