RE: Satellite A/B Swithch

Hi,
Let me clear up what I want to do. In the moho I have the usual 2 inputs into the moho. One for cable one for sat. I want to use a second receiver (sat) in the bedroom. I have installed a third input in the rear area of the moho and ran a cable to the area by the bedroom sat receiver. What I want to do is combine the original input and the new input(Sat only) into an A/B switch so I can go back and forth between the original sources in the moho and the new sat connection depending on what we want to watch. When we are in a cg with cable we like to hook that up to get local news and weather. Othe times I get to watch my sports or whatever while my wife watchs Dancing with the----- or other things that only she enjoys. I also have the standard switching box in the front that the first 2 imputs are run through.
In my 2 attempts to get an A/B switchs the results were the same. The old one I had did not work, with only the cable side showing a signal. Went and bought a new one and had the same problem. Hence the question, is there a sat only a/b switch?

West Yellowstone to Sturgis

Hi,
Going from West Yellowstone to Mount Rushmore area and need advice on which roads to take. The shortest route looks like take 191 to 20, then 14 then 16 over to rejoin I90 and then over to South Dakota. Looks to be the shortest but the map shows a lot of wiggles on the way. Is it safe or an easy drive in a 40 ft Moho with toad? Any comments appreciated
Don
Hope it's a good road, love to travel the back roads if we can

RE: intallation

Hi,
If he has a receiver and dish to sell you buy it and go on-line to Star Choice and they will have area to tell you how to install the system. You will need a portable stand to hold the dish. Hopefully you can get one there if not search the internet for homemade sat dish stands. There are several on the net. If you still have problems try and find a Sky satellite dealer who may help you with the install. You will also need to find the elevation and azmuith headings, these again are on line. If you were in PV in the fall/winter season there are usually Canadians and Americans who sell service Star Choice
Good Luck

RE: Calgary Roads

Quickest way is 2 North(4 lane) to 22X west(2lane) then turn north on 22(2 lane thru Bragg Creek until Highway 1. Nice drive too!! Depending on what time of day going thru Calgary( Anderson Road west to 14th Sreet north, then Glenmore west to # 8 highway to 22 just south of the #1)will take about 40 minutes, same as #22 West. 22W is a lot less hassle

RE: Overnighting In Calgary AB

Hi,
Presume you are coming into town from the east on #1. If you are turn south on 36 Street (left) and go about12 blocks south and on the left just north of Memorial Drive there is another Walmart there. Another choice is to go past 36th Street to Barlow Trail. Go north(right) up to 32 Ave. On the right is a Husky truck stop. I've seen RV's overnight there. Warning lots of trucks could be noisy. I would check websites to see if it still OK to park at either spot.

RE: Nogales Crossing

Hi,
When you cross Moiseh, do you mean the left car lane? Went thru there yesterday and there is no way to get a Moho thru those tight turns. Please clarify if possible.
Thanks Don

RE: Canadians Obtaining Vehicle Permit

Hi,
Crossed in Dec, all they wanted was the original Alberta registration and 1 copy, copy of owners DL and I think that was it(We own ours outright). Crossed with a couple that had leased their van and had both a letter from the leasing company and BC registration but they only took a copy of the registration. Best to have both if bringing a bank owned or leased car? Sorry can't be more help

Going to Mx

Hi,
Traveling by car down to Guayabitos next week and a friend that is going down said that there is a new customs place to get a car permit. It is at the south end of Sonora just past Guaymas. Normally we stop at KM 21 south of Nogales and if it is busy we can wait up to 1 and 1/2 hours. We will leave Nogales fairly early and would only stop for fuel until we get to the new location.
Is this available to us? or should we continue to use Nogales?
Any Comments appreciated
