RE: 30 day trip out West - Dare we without reservations?

I live in Oregon and travel/camp all over the west. I don't believe I've ever made a campground reservation. Aside from showing up at canyonlands national park and secure three sites on the white rim trail anyway. Then again I try to stay away from the huge touristy campgrounds with swimming pools and such. I don't know where you're going on the north rim but toroweap campground is amazing if your rig can stand a bunch of washboard roads. The southwest is going to be extremely hot in June too.

RE: Dual alternator as a generator

I don't believe they're suggesting idling the engine overnight. Between having a large battery, solar, energy efficient components, short drives should recharge the battery and a short time idling. Their setups really shouldn't need to have constant charging power. When you start driving off in an earthroamer you ought to be working it enough to clean it out.

RE: Robust TC Wanted

Check out Bigfoot or northern lite? Much more solid builds than the stick and staple/glue of the typical RV.

RE: Truck Campers without Bathrooms

Travel lite.

RE: Hovertruck - Rotating all 6 tires with camper jacks alone

I really hope this is a joke, for many reasons..

RE: Poor build quality on Palimino M2902 (2013)

I looked at a couple of brand new palomino campers about 2 years. I wouldn't ever consider purchasing one myself. Complete junk IMO, much more so than the "average" junk that the rv industry is putting out. My travel lite wasn't perfect, but general quality overall seemed much better than the palominos for what I thought was a similar price point.

RE: First impressions and first trip report with new camper.

Check out rotopax fuel containers to replace those crappy, leaky 1 gallon containers. The rotopax can be bought up to 4 gallons in a variety of thin sizes, they don't leak, and they are mountable/lockable.
