RE: Recommended Vornado model for 24ft travel trailer

We got this model to heat our LTV: Vornado Whole Room Vortex Heater EH1-0059-06 It worked great, even at temps below freezing. We were really impressed with it's efficiency, cost, ability to vary the heat out-put, stability and above all, the quiet operation of the fan. When it goes, we're buying another!

RE: Black Hills, Mt Rushmore

We're going back to The Beaver Lake Campground in Custer this summer. The grand kids really like the pool & waterside. We really like it! http://www.beaverlakecampground.net/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uocUFz8oZwo

RE: Zion and Bryce Canyon

We've stayed at Ruby's Inn, next to Bryce, several times and have never been disappointed. The campground was great and the bathrooms were immaculate. http://www.rubysinn.com/

RE: Horrible Camping World Experience

I agree. You can't blame CW for this maverick sales manager. Asking for his final, bottom line price is a fair question. I've done it many times myself. If the price is too high you just walk away and find a different place to spend your money. The sales manager needs to realize that the person coming in to spend his or her money is the person who gets to control the interview. I disagree, Campingworld has this person on the pay roll which means they should be in control. By paying this person they are in essence condoning his behavior. I see your point. CW does have responsibility for their employee's actions. Sounds like they should have let the initial salesperson finish the deal.

Campsite near Carlsbad Caverns in NM

Does anyone have a recommendation for a campground near Carlsbad Caverns National Park? I'll be there later next week.

RE: How young is too young?

We took our daughter with us as an infant in a pick-up camper. She was quite content to sleep in a baby bath tub on the table below us. It actually appeared that she enjoyed being together.

RE: Hyder Bears

We went in early August and watched 6 bears for a couple of hours. You're right about the salmon running. The eagles also put on a great show when they picked up the scraps.

RE: New Here and Looking for a Class B

Roadtrek, Pleasure Way or Leisure Travel Van. All vary somewhat but are all of similar high quality. We really like our LTV Free Spirit and will most likely purchase another in a few years.

RE: Mt Rushmore aera??

We really like The Beaver Lake Campground just east of Custer. It's family friendly and has a really nice pool and water slide. When we asked our 3 grandchildren, ages 7, 7 & 6, where they wanted to go, there was no hesitation - this was their choice. http://www.beaverlakecampground.net/

RE: Custer SD Camping HELP!!!

Right next to the KOA is The Beaver Lake Campground. We stayed there last year and plan to return again this summer. It's a great place!

RE: Camping around Durango, CO

The Cayton Campground a few miles south of Lizard Head Pass is a beautiful spot. Just of of Colorado Hwy 145 on the way to Telluride. You can log on to Reserve America and book a spot.

Sprinter based LTV battery replacement

It's time to change the battery under the passenger seat of my 2006 LTV Free Spirit. Any suggestions.

RE: Cortez to Telluride on CO 145

The route is just fine. In fact, the Cayton campground on top of the pass is a great place to overnight. The route you mention is part of The San Juan Scenic Loop.

RE: Downside to Sprinters?

We also enjoy our Sprinter based LTV. It's simply one of the best B's available - 22 MPG, drive it almost anywhere, plenty of power, never a problem getting Diesel. We're planning a trip to Phoenix in April, California in June and The Black Hills in July and we can't wait.
