RE: Crossroads owners forum?

Sometimes it takes time to fix stuff. A simple routine fix can turn into a catastrophic failure. And sometimes (my luck) parts have to be ordered.
I can't see that forum be taken down for a few bad words that were spoken. They know it wouldn't be in their best interest to take it down because of that.
I am patient and can wait it out.

RE: China bombs away!

I had that size and brand for 6 years. Changed them due to weather checking and i thought 6 years was a good run.
When i went to get new exact same, Discovered that they offered those powerkings in an "e" rating.
I had those put on.
I have two full years on the "e"'s.. Running good still.
As stated earlier. 35footer on "d"'s ? .. Something has to be contributing to this problem.

RE: Sleep number bed question

i use a piece of 1/2" plywood to extend the bed so that the standard mattress will work in the r.v. the sheet of plywood is cut to width, corners rounded and is about 5' long so that the weight of laying on it holds the foot area level. 9 years using this method with no issues. i slid the board under the mattress and let the mattress compress when the slide is brought in...
Yup. Me too.. Works great.

RE: suggest best type RV cover

NONE, if you value the paint on your RV and its overall appearance. A cover will scrub the paint off, as the wind whips it around......
x 2... NONE.. And it could scrub the edge of the roof.
Sadly i am experienced with covers.. My last cover was my last cover.

RE: Geo method gone bad

Well what I found out. I cut the pipe just before the gray tank and put the snake down it and it was clear but still stopped up. So when I started all this I did the same to the black tank and filled it up. Then I let some water out of the full black tank and presto no more stoppage. So if you have a 2003 sprinter 5th wheel the kitchen sink does not drain into the grey tank. The kitchen drain water is going into the black tank!
The kitchen drain is going into the black? REALLY ? That is not supposed to happen. Sanitation issues.. That is wrong

RE: 7.3 Air Box Question

I removed my air box and installed a 6637 filter from NAPA on the intake hose. Large filter that really allows the engine to breath. I've been using one for about 5 years.
Ditto.
Ditto, Ditto.

RE: Mor ryde pin box

Havn't had a lot of miles with mine from the new install. But after a few miles i noticed the difference right away with a complete empty camper. I think it will only get better when i load it down for a big trip. (next week). I will know more next week, But now, I am glad i got it, Install was a breeze. Tweety order. Came in a few days, Bolted right up. I won't go without one ever again and i say that because how it felt with few miles i have put on already.

RE: Hooking Up ???

Reese 16k Slider, Short box truck. I actually have to hook up tonight at an extreme angle(hitch in maneuver position). Not an issue, Done it lots of times. My wife keeps an eye on the gate(always)It is a close fit, But it goes. If my wife isn't around and i do it myself, the gate comes off in 30 seconds, And back on when done, Another 30 seconds. Not worth the risk when i am by myself.
The only issue with an angle hook up. It makes the "tug" test obsolete. So extra caution on and visually checking the jaws is a must.
