RE: What's our next camper?

As for Dick B. and his constant Trailmanor suggestions, he's never answered why he continues to suggest a non-hybrid on the Hybrid Forum.
I guess he's looking for attention........sad !

RE: What's our next camper?

You like the tent ends?
I'd suggest looking at www.trailmanor.com
The PO question is what's is next hybrid. In my opinion, Trailmanor are not hybrid.
I do have a question for you Dick: " I don't know how many times in the past years you suggested trailmanor, but why is it you don't own one!"

RE: Maine coast camping without the high $

We need some Maine coastal camping recommendations and prices if available for 5th wheel types
thank you
You have to be more specific. There are dozens and dozens of campgrounds on the coastal side of Maine which is over 250 miles long.
My suggestion would be for you to get the Maine campground guide which is available free from the Maine Office of Tourism.

RE: Dinette table legs

And I did the opposite of Habs33 on my 2011 Palomino. I removed the folding legs from my table and installed two tubular ones that attached one end to the table and the other end to the floor.......and the folding ones are in my shed.

I'm thinking like Dan...........You have to do a TV scan from the TV menu button or the TV remote.

RE: Buying my first Hybrid - maybe

I'm sure you know you're investing in a project camper (HTT). Some will say $1000 is a lot of money and some will say :"What do you have to lose!
Worst comes to worst, if the floor and walls are rotten, you can make yourself a nice trailer and sell whatever you can save (stove, fridge, heater etc etc) on Craigslist and get a good part of your money back.
That's my opinion.

PAThwacker,
Being a senior member, you should know the size of the pictures that can be posted on this forum.
No wonder moderators always had problems with pictures, if we, the senior members can't even show the newbies the proper way to post.

RE: Need some information

We have a Palomino Stampede Ultra lite S-238 and simply love it. It is a well built HTT.
One thing we love in particular is the bathroom with a shower bigger than most of the HTT on the market.
We use a Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7 engine to pull it.........no problem.

RE: Bought a used HTT today!

Congrats on the new HTT.
We too have fond memories of our 2004 Starcraft, Unfortunately, Cindy storm dropped a pine tree ( we're from Maine) on it and totaled it.
It was a great HTT....... well built.
Have fun and Welcome

RE: Who here cooks inside camper or Outside camper?

We rarely use the oven or stove. If you were tenting, would you cook inside the tent? For us all the cooking is done outside, rain or shine........under the awning if we have to.
Camping is camping and you have to rough it a bit.......
Dre
we rough it up enough with hybrid bunk house.
What a life we all have ! :B

RE: Nature finally wakes up !

A week ago, there were no leaves on trees in Maine. I took a few pictures this morning, and what a difference.
It's really time to think of our first camping trip of the season !
Dre, nice pictures. Where is that ... your backyard? If so it is pretty - no need to go anywhere for camping!
We still love to go camping even though we're surrounded by woods. The HTT is actually parked in the front yard.....Can't get to the backyard with it.
Should I include a picture of the backyard?........Why not!!

RE: Maine Seacoast Sights

The nicest beach in Maine and it stretches for 6 miles is Old Orchard Beach. A very popular destination in the summer and plenty of campgrounds to choose from. The one we love the best is Hid'n Pines Family campground ( all services and pets are welcome).
While there, go pass an afternoon at Portland Light in Cape Elizabeth. Beautiful lighthouse, nice trail by the ocean, picnic area etc etc.
Quaint towns: Camden, Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor. All three have a lot of little shops, restaurants and they are all situated by the ocean or a bay.
If ever Camden Hill is on your agenda, consider Camden Hills State Park Campground. Very woodsy, beautiful and pet friendly.
Most popular tourist place in Maine is Acadia National Park. The second most visited National Park in the USA. If you're an outdoor person, you could stay weeks there and always find something to do. Bar Harbor (mentioned above) is actually situated in Acadia.
Welcome to Maine

RE: First camping trip in the HTT!

Glad to hear you had a great experience on your first trip. Such an upgrade going from a popup to an HTT. You will find the bathroom very convenient especially in the middle of the night, and a lot more space and storage.
Enjoy your HTT and start building memories.
