RE: Jumping right in
We went to fulltiming and went with the fifth wheel for a couple of reasons.
It gave us an extra vehicle. My wife drives the car and I drive the truck that pulls the fifth wheel. Not an issue for you now, but maybe in the future.
If something in the motor or transmission breaks, I don't lose my house by taking it to the mechanic.
It breaks the systems down in my humble opinion, into more manageable parts. My 12 volt system on the fifth wheel is much less complex than the one in a Class A or Class C. For you that might not be an issue, but for me it was.
Space. It seemed like I got more space dollar for dollar in a fifth wheel. Again, I am one of four people with a large dog. Space was a big consideration.
Again, thanks for your service.

RE: 5ver with top bunks?
Like mentioned before. 2010 Open Range 429 BHS with bunks in the front, but no outside kitchen. They only made it two years IIRC. Good luck.
RE: Where to stay in or near Portland, Oregon
Stayed for a few days at Fairview RV park just East of Portland. Ended up staying much longer in Battleground WA at Big Fir. Both nice parks in very different ways.
RE: Pismo Sands RV Park, Oceano, CA
Staying down the street from there right now. I am in Pacific Dunes Ranch. Pismo Sands looks nice, but was too expensive.
RE: Back Windows
Thanks Firemedic, for the link. I'll try to remember next time.
I love the grill idea. Yeah, some of the camps aren't the most scenic, but they all count. I has trouble remembering enough about all of them to leave a comment.

Back Windows
Hi guys,
I started this when we first started camping. Sarah thought it would be a neat idea to take a picture out of our back window at each campground and maybe someday it would make a good scrap book. Well I decided to turn it into an Internet scrap book instead. I haven't quite finished here with our prior visits and there will be, of course, more. Still, I have a few campground up and thought I would share.
