RE: Bluewater Key RV which lot would you recommend?

Some of the tiki huts have tv, refrigerators and wet bars, although not all amenities are available to renters only to the owner. Even some of the clear wind screens are only usable by the owner. The only way to know is to call and ask what amenities are usable for each individual site.

RE: We lost another memeber..

Brian, our chuckling was probably in Whiskey Park, Colorado, 30 or so miles north of Steamboat Springs. I looked at some of the dates on the photos and that goes back to June 10th 2005. We met up again June 10 th 2007 at Steamboat Lake, then again early August 2010 in northern Whiskey Park and still probably spoke about Jponder. I think we did chat about Jponder before 2010 when we met at the Colorado State Park off of I-70 east of Grand Junction.
Happy Camping Jponder!

RE: We lost another memeber..

I am truly saddened by Jponders passing. Although I never met him I appreciated his exuberance. I don't like to speak for others but I think I can honestly say that many people who engaged with him on this forum just loved to hate him for some of the comments in many of the threads we participated in (before many were deleted).
He spoke his mind and had info to back up his statements.
I will miss him!

RE: Residential refrigerator on MSW inverter- your experience

For the people who have been using MSW inverters for some time, how much of that time is actually using the inverter? Are you using the inverter even when on shore power??? I recently installed a Fisher Paykel residential fridge and the mfg suggested using a pure sine wave inverter.

RE: How to get rid of rotten egg smell in laundry?

Did a load of wash in the campground laundry machines and it came out smelling like rotten eggs. (Presumably from sulfer in the water?)
The smell remains after re-washing the clothes at a different place. How frustrating!
Does anyone know how to get rid of the odor? It really is quite awful.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I can not help you with your water issues except to say get your own washer/dryer with a water filtration/softener system.
We winter on Sanibel Island in our 5th wheel and recently took a trip past your location. We did it in our boat and continued over to Stuart, Florida via the Caloosahatchie and the Okeechobee Waterways. We admired several of the campgrounds that were located on either side of the locks. We went thru 5 locks each way, what fun!!!
Thanks for the reminder.

RE: South Florida Campgrounds

Like trop a cal said there should be some places to rent by the week/month, my folks have a small house on Pine island over on the west side and right next to there yard is a secluded little spot with FHU, that sits empty most of the time.
Do you have any more info on that lot? Maybe a phone #

RE: Campers coming thru site

We just returned from a long weekend and after RVing for 32 years we never experienced this until ths weekend. People from a site across from us thought it was acceptable to cut right through our campsite on the way to the bathrooms. There were 6 cars and more than 20 people on the site across from us.
I was cooking on my grill and a male adult proceeded to walk right through our site. I told him it was "common courtesy not to walk through another campers site". He turned around and left the way he came in.
We were eating and about 20 minutes later the same person returned this time with a sarcastic attitude because we asked him not to cut through our site. He told us we must be new to camping and he saw no problem with cutting through other campsites. The conversation didn't end there.
My wife and I have been camping together for 32 years and including time camping with her parents, she's been camping 45 years. We have always respected others campsites and taught both our children to respect others campsites.
Any thoughts on this?
This is the perfect time to allow other campers with dogs to poop all over your yard and not pick it up!

RE: Advice On Purchase

We would like some advice on what companies people are happy with and which to avoid when purchasing our first 5th wheel. My husband and I will be living in it full time in New Orleans with our two large dogs.
We want as much storage as possible, a king size bed, ceiling fan and as many home-like comforts we can get. The kitchen storage, large refrigerator size and very good insulation are top on my list and the king size bed, floor space and overall livability are top on my husband's.
We also would like to know just how many pairs of jeans will the combo washer/dryer hold and how long does it really take to wash and dry 1 load of clothes.
We have narrowed our list and like the Trilogy, Pinnacle, Alpine, Cardinal, Montana, Heartland Big Country but I am having a hard time making up my mind. Any advice or reviews? Great experiences or horrible experiences? Please share.
I don't think anyone can answer this properly without knowing your budget.
