RE: A little disappointed in the price

years ago I found out I could get stuff from my local dealer cheaper than CW and no freight costs and no club to join and pay for. they really suckered you in on that deal. I cut off CW they don't even send me cataloges any more.

one thing is the hills on the interstate freeways are not as steep as the ones on US12

RE: f150 vs.f250

well my two cents worth, I used to have a 150 and I ways always trying to get it to pull my 24 ft better. put all kinds of stuff on it. one guy told me I should have bought a 250 instead. I did and he was right, this is one time I'm glad he was right. pulls better and handles great, gas mileage about the same.

RE: What are these? And do they need replacing?

if it ain't broke don't fix it. well, that is some statement. if you have a Murphy riding with you they will fail just about the time you are in great need of battery power and parts are no where in sight. a little preventive maintance is in order here. and like stated, change out the cable ends too, in fact it may be a good idea to replace the entire cable.

RE: Long Hot Showers in an RV?

with limited water and heating capabilities in a RV you might just think about finding some natural hot springs to soak in.

wedding trip

we just made a 600 round trip to a niece's wedding. had a very good time. My brother's FIL and I were laughing so much. we were talking about our childhood days. MY DW told me it was the same thing we talked about the last five times we got together. imagine that. she said the way we carried on we must have been problem children when we were growing up. I disagree, If we were that bad our fathers wouldn't have let us live this long.

RE: intel-core vs AMD

I am getting a new one too. My computer guru says that the i5 is one of the best processors. in fact i3 or higher is what he says I should get. I got the i5 so it should be all I want or need . it really doesn't make any diff for me, I don't know how to use it to it's fullest any way.

RE: Wet battery terminal

if you use baking soda be very careful you don't get it into the vent holes of the caps, you will ruin the battery. best thing to do is use hot water and a wire brush. battery stores don't use baking soda, all they use is very hot water. it will get the white stuff off the posts

RE: Night driving having trouble seeing the wheels when turning

I think I would get out and practice turning. if you put a light out there and you are still cutting short, it is too late to correct and you will hit the curb or the car parked there.

you have to start the coffee pot when you go to bed to have it ready by the time you wake up.

RE: I'm a retired salesman

I used to sell refrigerators, stoves, cars, stamps, RV's, you name it. when I sold RV's I told my customers, if the RV didn't reach out and grab you, it may not be the one for you. that is how I felt when I went shopping for things and passed that on to them, I sold some, some walked. We had one guy who was mad at the other salesman for telling him he did not need an air bag for his truck to pull a large TT. I told him he may not need it but if it made him feel better while towing, and gives him the confidence for towing, then get it. I sold that guy his next three TT's

RE: K&N intake air system

I've posted this answer before and here goes again. My son is a NASCAR driver and he says they work great on race cars since they need all that air at high rpm's. plus they tear down their motors after every race, bar none. BUT, we RV'ers do not have the money to have our trucks engines torn down after every camping trip, so the answer is NO. don't use them for Rv towing. waste of money, use the money to buy gas and forget about it.
