RE: Hanging items on an RV Door

I hate making any permanent modification (like drilling holes) if I can help it. I got 4 clear plastic towel hanger-hook-things from walmart that just slip over the top edge of the door.

RE: Battery charging

I have left my TT plugged in for the past 3 years at home (except when travelling/camping of course), you have to keep up with the water in the battery.

RE: great cooler but a question also

We wash and re-use a clear plastic juice container that fits the rack in the fridge door. That's how we carry milk with us. I guess it's about a half a gallon size.

RE: Dry camping, battery idea?

I don't dry camp enough to justify spending money on mods, so this is what we do for a few days at the beach: Use jugs of water for flushing to avoid running the pump. Also you can fill your tea kettle from the fresh water tank drain outside. I don't use the 12V lights. I have 2 little $5 LED camping lanterns that run off of AA batteries. If the trailer battery runs down enough for the fridge to quit I will use the jumper cables and the van to pump it up. In case of complete 12V system failure, I carry a cooler to save the fridge food.

RE: On the road-no advance planning

Yes, this past spring break 2 weeks ago. When we decided we could go it was way too late for reservations anywhere. So we were prepared for dry camping.

RE: How long can you boondock?

Completely stock trailer with its small tanks and single battery, 2 people, 2 days.
