RE: End of an era...

Congrats Jim! And you have already named the new trailer! "Love Shack" (unless of course your better half vetoes). We're sticking with our little Retro 140 a while longer.

RE: Sea Glass

From the TX coast, I will bring home shells, wood, coconuts, barnacles, nets, whatever I can find. Typically arrange it as a decoration on the picnic table at home. It all lasts a while until the weather gets it, then it's time for another trip to the beach!

RE: Minivan towing 16' Scamp

My loaded 16'long, 7' wide trailer is technically a few hundred pounds too heavy to tow with my non-tow-package 2004 Grand Caravan. However, I have made two round-trip TX-NY trips and several runs down to the Texas coast etc with no problems. I keep the speed at 55, transmission in "3", RPMs are at 2500. I am often asked how the minivan tows my trailer. My reply is that it is not optimal, but it works.

RE: Insulating windows

Reflectix works, but after a while it starts to become partially translucent. The two window covers I have left permanently installed for the past year now let through a little grayish light, but the three covers I install intermittently are still opaque black.

RE: Membership cancelled - fell outside unknown parameters

Hello Ghernandez, I apologize for the lack of notice your received regarding the cancellation of your policy. I would like to look into this. If possible, can you provide your Good Sam Roadside Assistance number in a private message and I will follow up. Thank you, Ella Closing the barn door after the horse has escaped.

RE: side to side leveling without TV

Let some air out of the tires on the other side. If this would not harm the tires.

RE: T Mobile

DW and I have one tablet and one phone on T mobile, it works great for us. It is the ONLY interwebs access we have at home, and of course it travels with us also. We regularly tether a laptop, kindle, Wii, nintendo DS, whatever to the tablet and/or phone, works fine.

RE: Trailair Rusting

Some boat owners, also reluctant to drill holes in an otherwise perfectly water-tight structure, will use a wick of some sort to draw the water out of a small space, like an anchor well for instance. I have not seen this done myself but have heard of it.
