"Hog Wild" is a Copyright protected moniker for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Since you are in Washington state, we will forgive the infringement this one time! Should this happen again, well, you sleep well just thinking out what might take place! :)

when are you heading up this way again jim?
End of June and 1st of July will make it to Yellowstone. That is as far west as we will make it this year.
bummer, just a week or so off from making a trip over there to visit. we will be at glacier the 2nd week of july. maybe next year (2014) if there is a rally in the Midwest we may head that way. its on the strong maybe list for us. so it would be a half way point sort of.

Great that you picked up trash! I try to do it to. Nice trip...
we have always strongly believed we are the stewards of the land. that we must always leave a camp area in better shape than we found it. it is something that we teach our son cody and it is just the normal thing to do. I want him to take his kids to places we have camped at in the future and have him pass along the same experiences we shared.
yeah we picked up 2 bags of trash. it only took about 1/2 hour of our whole weekend time to make it all clean. not a big deal to us.
still, just wished we didn't have to but we will.

i hear you. we also have a goal for 60 days a year to be out camping. we are at 25 days as of now since jan 1st.
yes, we know its not the quantity but the quality. for us...quantity is quality as we also have a good time.

I like these little hideaways you're finding. We are thinking of checking some of the BLM lands in North Central Washington this summer. Good report Rich.
there really are some great public lands out there to find. we have only scratched the surface just in our area.
next weekend we have volunteer work to do but the week after that we will be out camping again. a different style of camping on that trip. we are going to a rv park that has a brewery as part of it. perfect for my birthday.

The three time Grand Lake Waters Edge RV Resort Brisket & Rib champion BBQ Master will be in attendance. Just got the go ahead from DW.
I can't bring the big smoker but will make do with my little smoker.

GREAT!!!!! Looking forward to meeting you. Looking forward to some of that great BBQ at the contest. MMMMM Should be a fun time.

here is a map link for those coming from the east via hwy 2 with a couple suggested stops to look at. one is the "goat lick" over look. there are usually mountain goats on the cliff wall. the other is the Izaak Walton Inn. a historic park and railroad area.

for those wondering....
closest grocery store is in HUNGRY HORSE just a few miles west of the campground on highway 2. that is also where the better priced fuel is at too.

fabulous! that is something my wife and I would love to do. there is a region here in Washington that has several wineries to do something like that. well, sort of...don't know about the jeep part. looks like a great time. im jealous
tcs at a resort? who cares. that's the nice thing about the tc, go where ever we want. a resort one weekend, up in the deep woods the next. what a wonderful way of life!
