RE: Electrical problem

I was very specific about a plug for my RV. He asked if I wanted a 30 or 50 amp. I said if possible I would go for a 50 amp. When I saw the three prong I was wrong to assume that it would just take my 3 prong adapter. I've researched the subject on how Bighorns are wired and it appears there are two different circuits. Maybe that is why the TV, furnace are ok. T

Electrical problem

Just built an RV garage and had it wired by an electrician. He put in a 50 amp service, I have a Heartland Bighorn 5th wheel. I put the 5th wheel in the shop and noticed that the electrical plug was only a three prong not the 4 prong for 50 amp. I put on the adaptor and pluged her in. I heard the micro/convection humming and then stop. Then the frig didn't get cold, the in house vac didn't work. I found out I had 220 volts going to those units. I found a blown fuse inside the frig but still didn't work. I unpluged the heater to the frig and there is no continuity. I think it burned out the heater. Of course the electricial won't call back. How could this happen and what should I expect to be damanged. Thanks. Terry
