This will be our 3rd trip to Calgary in 12 months. The kids are now 11 and 13. We have been to Calaway Park, the Zoo, the Stampede, Calgary Tower, Heritage Park, I need some new ideas. I like outdoor activities for sunny days, but if there is a climbing gym, great wave pool or other suggestion I would appreciate it. What about bike trails? Is there a science centre? Imax theatre?

We will be in the area the last week of Stampede and the week after. During that time we will be spending one day in the city.

How about going for a hike at Lake Louise up to the tea house? Go out to Kananaskis past Bragg Creek and take a hike/ride up Moose mountain (You can see Calgary from up there). There is a Go Cart race track just north of Calgary (Take the Deerfoot). If you are looking for Bike trails and some other thrills you can also goto COP (Canada Olympic Park). They have bike trails as well as you can sometimes participate in some of the olympic sports however may be too warm for bobsledding but you can goto the top of the ski jump and have brunch I think?!? If looking for a nice relaxing walk or picknic check out Bowness Park in the *Edit* SW of Calgary. We always liked it. how's that for a few ideas? Just off the top of my head.. been a couple years since we've moved away.

We went to the science center this April with our kids aged 4 and 6. My nieces and nephew who live in Calgary love the science center. They are aged 8-12.

Thank you for the replies. I will definately check out the go-carts and science centre.

Five'er, I will check out the offerings at the Olympic park too.

We will be stopping in the rockies on the way there and hiking at Sunshine Meadows. We did the Tea Hut at Lake Louise last year.
