I would suggest a couple of days in either Banff or Lake Louise. You can see all the sites out of either location. Lake Louise, Spiral Tunnel, Emerald Lake, Takkakka Falls, Valley of the Ten Peaks etc. THEN up to Jasper on the "Icefields Parkway" w/MH for a couple more days to see the local sites. Athabasca Falls, Maligne Lake/Canyon,Miette Hot Springs, Jasper Tramway, and lots of wildlife and hiking trails. Serviced sites in Jasper are hard to come by. Check the National Parks campground reservation site for availability or as a back up...you can pay $500 a night at the Jasper Park Lodge.

Caution: we were lucky to get a spot at Mt Kidd RV park as it was a Sunday evening but they said they are all booked up for every weekend in July and August and I assume once school is out later in June, it will also be booked on weekdays.
This is a great highway to drive into the mountains on.
