Need some help. MH is in signature. I've been plugged in to 110v, 24/7 for the past 2 months. Today, took the MH out for a spin around the block and realized I had no 12v being supplied to the coach... lights, pump, fridge etc.etc.
I do not have a manual 12v cutoff (as in knife switch), but do have a dash 12v disconnect switch. Evidently I inadvertantly activated this disconnect at some point. I had a devil of a time getting this latching solenoid to work. It took frequent cycles of engage, disengage to get it to switch over. Once it did, all 12v systems operated normally.
My question is; is this the result of age? lack of use? malfunction?
All electrical wiring connections look clean and are tight.
I guess I'm trying to determine if this was just a fluke or a warning.
Any thoughts?

The 12 Volt disconnect relay
needs 'exercise'. If it is
working properly now, and if
you 'exercise' it periodically,
it will probably contine to work.
This is true for all working
components of the RV..........run
the engine, spin the fans, run the
air conditioner and furnace, all
at least every few months.

It always amazes me how an RV deteriorates when left to sit. In RVing, "use it or lose it" is very true.

OK, will add "exercise switch" to the list! Thanks.
