Prior to extending my slides today to clean my carpets I decided to check the hwh resevoir. I thought it was near the lower mark so I added some, and then some more. for the life of me I could not see the clear thin oil on the hwh dip stick. You guessed it, I overfilled.Anyway I extended slides., cleaned carpets, put slides back in and left a tell tale drip mark back to my back in storage spot, about a 100 feet away. Should I go back with my wifes turkey baster a draw some off. She's gonna love that.
The caps vented, and when I screwed it back in nothing that I noticed came out at the time.

I would guess you have all ready gotten rid of the extra. If you feel the need, stop ay dollar store and pick up a turkey baster and stay out of trouble.

When I over do it, I simply cycle the slide and jacks a couple of times and the reservoir will spew out whatever amount is too much. If you have easy access, roll out some paper towels or an old bath towel to catch the dribble from the vented cap.

The first time I filled my new system I filled it to the top and put the cap on........then cycled it a couple of times and let it puke out what it didn't need.........cleaned up the mess and called it good!
I say wipe down the overflow on the pump/reservoir to keep it from getting all grimy and call it a job well done!

I agree- you certainly have not hurt anything- just made a mess. Clean it up and don't worry about it.
FWIW- the special HWH fluid is simply (as HWH says) ATF without any dyes in it.

i used cat litter to like it was 'oil sorb' to clean up the mess, i usually have a bag handy for 'just in case' oil changes etc.

hwh stands for hard working hydraulics. says the president of hwh. actually in the founding days, acronyms were popular, such as aig, cbs, nasa. the owner wanted hhh, but was told hwh was all that was close and available. so there you are.
the fluid level should be about 3/4 inch from the top of the tank max.
when the fluid heats up, it expands and if filled completely, will flow out the vent. doesnt hurt anything, just makes a mess.
