The slides are in. The rig is up on planks so the tires do not sink into the driveway. The waterlines are blown out. The antifreeze is pumped into the lines and traps. The mouse stuff (Cab Fresh) is deployed. All the freezable stuff is in the house. I took the hitch off and changed out the tailgate. I even took the beer out of the fridge...I guess that means that it is over till spring...sigh.

I live in northern Ohio, we have one more weekend out, middle of October, then I will do the same as you, we will spend our last weekend in Ohio's amish country and enjoy the leaves and the food, then home for a long 6 months till we go again...

My best camping trips were in the dead of winter up in the Shanandohs at Big Meadows campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway....It was so cold there was ice on the inside of our camper windows....we were young then so it was a minor inconvenience we had our love to keep us warm......

Low temps in the mid 30's low 40's this week. The fresh water tank is full. The black and gray are empty. The generator needs gassed and rig hooked up. I'm headed out for some boondocking this weekend! Just hope it doesn't snow too deep this winter so I can get it out on weekends.

I would camp in the cold but...I would be doing it alone. If we need the furnace then it is too cold for the wife. Just hope for an early spring.

Go South, young man, go South! We are studying up on solar power so we can boondock near Yuma, AZ for the month of Jan. then to Big River, CA for Feb. and March (with full hook-ups). Hopefully, the snow here in Colorado will be melted by April when we return.
