I am trying to replace the front TV in a 99 model 38' Dutch Star DP and can't figure out how to remove the old unit.It seems to be mounted on a metal plate and two screws (just inside the front trim) with two screws to bottom of cabinet. I removed these screws and thougt I could raise the unit up a little and slide it out as there seems to be enough space from the top of TV to bottom of the top trim.
I don't see a way to remove the front trim.Has any one replace ther TV in one of these units?
Thanks for any suggestions
Just about everyone I have removed required the removal of the front trim ring from the cabinet. Screws are either in from the sides and bottom or are hidden behind the little mushroomed shape oak buttons right on the front of the trim.
I have a 2004 DSDP. It may be a different setup. On mine you pop off the 2 buttons at the bottom to access the screws underneath. Then there is one screw each for the side of the bezel trim that you access inside the cabinets that are on the right and left of the TV. You will need a Torx screwdriver for all the screws. Once the 4 screws are out the wood trim will pull straight out. It may be a bit snug. After removing the trim there is an angle iron attached to the top of the TV with screws that go up into the ceiling. When those screws are removed, lift up the front of the TV about 1/2", to clear 2 wood stop blocks, that help keep the TV in place and the TV should pull right out.
