(will you be at your usual spot by the tracks & the potty?)
Not sure yet, still working things out.
A word of caution for all RV net peeps
The BLM gave our club (Viewfinders MC) a fine for an "organized event" without a permit while camping off Trona rd last weekend.
So make sure your camp does not look organized, like club shirts/flags/signs/etc. Just a few friends gathering for some riding.
Ironically the BLM was harrasing another group I camp with over at Jawbone a few years ago and they told us to use Spangler, now they show up there and cite groups. A "little Birdie" told me they look for signs people put out on the roads and follow them to the camp.
Soo, if you put signs/paper plates out to mark camp, bee careful about what you write on the sign!!

Rough guess, around 100 ??
He showed up as we were playing some games on the bikes (slow race/kick the can/blindfold), hung around for awhile, left, came back Sunday and cited the prez
I have been to Spangler area at least a dozen times and have NEVER seen a BLM Ranger, Last T G We saw a Sheriff who was just cruising around the "cattle guard" area. Over at Jawbone, we always saw BLM Rangers
.
Not to panic anyone, just make sure its not too organized
Be sure to go over to the AMA District 37 website/message board/Photos and look at the "mineshaft incident" pics.
Some of our club members were out on a ride Saturday morning and one got swallowed up by an unmarked shaft on fairly flat ground right next to a heavily used trail.
Bee carefull around Red Mountain/Spangler area, this could have been much worse, thankfully the young man is well on the road to recovery.
He does have a new nickname, "Shaft"

I saw your group out there and counted around 25 rigs, I was at the FF and rode over because some friends might be there (not in your group). I will be at the same general spot as your club was at for TG, just like last year, hope it is not as crowded, last year there was a group across from us that brought out a 60' flatbed and used it as the stage for the band. They also had a bobcat that they used to load firewood on the fire, there wood pile was about 20' X 20' and 8 foot high.

Hey Scott!
We'll be there as well. First time at this campground. Have you been before?
We'll be there 11/25-11/29....see you around possibly

Just wondering, did your group get a citation and later payed a fine or is the legal process still ongoing. They have to prove it was a event with testimony and evidence (pictures). I will be out at Spangler this coming TG holiday flying flags. One will be Old Glory flying the highest and I will admit, I belong to a club if the LEO shows up. It is the I'm an American club and anybody who wants to join me and fly their flags in a big circle and enjoy an American tradition can. I will cook the little birdie and be out at the Notta site from the 21 to the 29 LEO is welcome.

Bob, can you post the GPS coord's of that mine? Might be good info to post. I remember a google earth overlay of all the pit mines in the area and wonder if its on it. I will do a search.

I had my GPS with Us, but forgot to mark it
The BLM was notified and I believe they know where it is.
