The reason I asked if it was the fronts, rears or all is because when we were towing our Element with our 35' 1998 Holiday Rambler with the looong overhang, I wore of the outer edges of the fronts in less than 20K miles.
I asked about it here and someone told me what I was doing wrong.
When you are stopped and going to make a turn, always start rolling before turning your steering wheel. If you crank your wheel and then start rolling you are dragging the toads front tires sideways without giving them a chance to roll and turn easier. This happens often in tight gas stations and parking lots. The longer the rear overhang, the worse it is.
Once I started to move and THEN start turning, my tires lasted twice as long.
Some vehicles can't be towed because the front end geometry changes too much when not under power. I know that's not a problem with the CR-V. Is the alignment within specs? Have you contacted Honda customer support to see if they have some suggestions?
Another question is: is there a lot of tail swing when you corner? A gas unit with a long distance behind the axle to the hitch it swings the steering one way, then qickly the other way. This can wear a set of front tires out quickly if the wheels don't come back to center quickly.
Having an treadware A rated tire does NOT necessarily mean that it's harder or has less traction than a treadware B rated tire. It does mean the tread will last longer than a B or C treadware rated tire, that's all.

We have had no abnormal tire ware on our '05 C-RV. We ditched the original Bridgestone tires at 20,000 miles due to excessive noise. We installed Michelin's and currently have 40,000 miles on them and they still look new. Of our 60,000 miles driven over 30,000 have been in tow.
We did have severe cupping of the rear tires that produced mega noise after 40,000 miles without rotation. This is a problem that can happen with the C-RV if the tires are not rotated every 6000 miles.
We aligned all wheels and had the rear cupped tires "trued", a process where the high spots are shaved off. The cost was $25 per tire, still lots of tread and the tires are now very quiet.
