We are considering a Phoenix Cruiser for our next RV; Sprinter 2350. We have never purchased anything "Factory Direct" (boats, rv).

Has anyone gone this route and what have your experiences been?

For those of you that own a Phoenix Cruiser--are you satisfied with the rv?

Thanks

You might be able to get it for less than factory price from Lazy Days in Tampa, as they have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

I've been there, Lazy Days, a lot of times and have never seen a new Phoenix Cruiser. They have a bunch of Fleetwoods and Winnebagos. The new Reyo and Via by Winnebago are real winners!! Marvh

gradygal,

As burlmart said, I write a lot of good about My Phoenix Cruiser 2350. I warn you, if you ask me which is better, the Sprinter-V6 diesel, or the Ford E350-V10 gas, I am partial to the Ford.

About buying factory direct, Phoenix USA didn't offer it until very recently. Stuart is the fellow you would be working with. Between you and me, (and everyone on the web too, ha, ha) I would try to "Work A Deal" with Stuart, treating the factory just like you would a dealer.

First determine exactly what you want on your 2350 (I have lots of input on options we love and wished we got), add up the Retail totals, then "talk price" with Stuart. It seems a good time of year to make a deal.

I kindly mention an alternative to a new 2010 Sprinter-2350. The dealer we ordered our 2350 through in June of 2007, happens to have a brand new 2007-2350, 2008-2400 and 2007-2551, all with full Ford and Phoenix new vehicle warrantees. He used them as his displays for walk-in customers to examine. His 2350 has lots of options, and also has dealer installed options like a serious solar panel on the roof, and I think some suspension upgrades. Click Here, then click on his inventory page to see many pictures. I think retail was over $90k on his 2350. Then consider retail has gone up in 3 years. His price is around $66,500k. Maybe you could work that price down a little too.

Anyway, I am here to help with you questions where I can.

I love mine, but you may as well leave out the surround sound system. I replaced mine with a better one, the first week.

You can special order a PC pre-wired with just the speakers installed. This way it is easy to upgrade the sound system without the expense of buying theirs.

My wife and I will both agree, it is weak when playing music CDs. But we both appreciate it for watching movies for it's "Surround Sound" sound effects. If you are big into "Sound Quality", than an upgrade is in your future.

Mark, Did you upgrade the speakers too? Or just the head unit? Cost? I am curious to know the details of your upgrade. Maybe you will give me the itch do do the same. I need to do something new with my PC over the winter.

thanks for the replies to my post. We just got back from seeing a PC for the first time-in the flesh-and were extremely impressed.

Now we have to determine exactly what we want and get a quote. I am leaning to the dinette. My DH is interested in the sofa with the slide; says better resale value in the future. Any thoughts on this.

I will go back and look at Ron's photos. Thanks again.

My opinion is that you are buying it for you, not for whoever might use it after you, so get what you want and do not worry about resale value.

More than likely, it won't make much difference anyway.

We bought a Lazy Daze a few years, factory direct....the only way you can get a new LD. It was a wonderful experience, price was good (non-negotiable) and delivery was super. And we love the rig!
