Ok, RV.net is a great group of folks and I have gained a lot of information from a lot of different people. I think this is my first campfire topic so if this is way off base, please just delete this question but I am kind of at a loss.

I am an assistant manager of a customer service team. We have 11 customer service reps and I am trying to plan for our Christmas party next month. I want to spend about 5-7$ per employee without being cheesy. My issue is that they are all ladies, even my supervisor is a lady. I have 12 ladies to pick up a gift for. LOL.

Soooo, I need good gift ideas that are tasteful and thoughtful and within my budget. I am trying to be creative but all I really come back to are the old stand by's

Candles
Christmas Ornaments

AHH somtimes being a man can give me a headache.

Please help

Thanks!

I use to buy everyone who worked for me cordial cherries. Usually around Christmas you can get a box for under $3.

As I'm doing the same job you are, I've had to deal with this issue myself. The way I've handled it is to give them 5 - 10.00 gift cards to Wal-Mart or their favorite group lunch spot. Now if you know that they all like wine or beer, you could get gift certificates to a local liquor mart so they can pick up their personal holiday cheer.....A flower shop discount might be appreciated as well. Those are about the simplest that I can think of that shouldn't get you in trouble.

The trick is to make sure the amount is nominal, so it doesn't fall into the inappropriate gift category, where you have an HR policy against it.

Good luck.

Of course, what my team would really appreciate more is a Christmas bonus, a raise, or both. But as I don't control that, I try to let them know they are appreciated in other ways.

A Box of Chocolates sounds good to me. :-)
Sometimes you can find a christmas coffee cup filled with candies, candy canes, and a ribbon for around $5. Those are really cute.

Buy them all 5 lottery tickets. We used to do that at Christmas at a company where I worked and lo, one year a gal won $10,000.00. Very popular idea after that.

costco has some cute boxes of delish chocolate for around $10 all wrapped, if they don't want it they can re-gift.

I am not sure how you can only have a gift for 5-7 in this day and age and it not appear cheesy.

I think an option might be to join with your manager, and if she/he could contribute the same amount, then you have a much better chance of a nicer and more appreciated gift.

I thought a lot about this - that's not a big budget
Socks from Bath and Body Works. Not a tacky place, a little bit different, and on sale for 2 for $12.
Everyone likes toasty socks in the winter - unless you live in the tropics or something.

I just stocked up at Bath and Body Works. They were running their buy three, get three free. Sweet deal and in your price range. Most women like nice body products. Sugary treats not soo much.

The AAA may have nice eye shades for sleeping, with a secret pocket for ear plugs...could be around $ 7-8 dollars.

I got them at the CAA for about $ 10 CAD.
