I have an '07 SantaFe. I did my winterizing today but now the large bed won't slide back in. It will go half way and then just stop like there's a solid obstruction preventing the bed from rolling into the camper box. There has never been any weight placed on the bed w/o the under-the-bed struts in place. Can anyone suggest a solution or refer me to a diagram showing how the bed supports work and what the obstruction might be?

Yes, all is down and out of the way. Even when I stand inside the camper and pull the problem bed toward me, I still am unable to get it to slide in.

The bed supports work like the roller-drawers in a modern kitchen cabinet. It's just a rail supported by nylon roller bearings sliding inside of a track, not too complex. You can easily visually inspect the track for obstructions.
The bunk end is probably getting stuck on something. Have you looked underneath the bunk? Are the pole supports clearing underneath? Any tenting still connected with bungies? Is the galley or any other cabinet in the way?

With out pup one of the bunks went across the door opening. There was a cureved peice of metal that allowed the bunk to go up into the opening on the other side of the door. Well the kids would some times take the curved peice of metal out because well a 2 year old and one year old can do this. anyway if they did it then when I slid the bunk in the corner would drop down and hit the side of the dooe frame and not go into the opening it was supposed to thus would not close. Could be something as simple as this.

When this happened to me (twice) it was as Beacher suggested...the bungies for the tenting were still attached.

Happened to me end of the summer. I noticed the screws on the tracks were just slightly loose. I tightened them with a screwdriver and the bed slid in perfect.

Try pulling it out all the way, and try again?

"Usually" the problem with anything that slides and comes to a solid stop is on the leading edge of the object. I've had to use this avenue of detection a couple of times on my pup. A binding slow stop could be anyplace but a sudden hard stop is most likely on the leading edge? Something not aligning properly?
