This is my first time to post on this thread but wanted to let everyone know how Costco stands behind their products. We bought a Vizio 43 in TV from them 22 mo ago and it quit working. Costco had a warranty of 2 yr so we called them and they in turned called Vizio and in 5 days they had a new TV delivered by a delivery service with 2 men and they set it up. Costco called within an hr to see if it had been delivered and how it was working. Hassle free and very good to deal with. I will always buy electronics at Costco.
Yes, that IS excellent customer service, especially since nearly every warranty I have seen is from the manufacturer, and it is clearly stated in the warranty "If there is a problem with this unit DO NOT call the store where you purchased it, call 1-888-GET HELP (or some such number).
If that is the case with Vizio, yes, it was great of Costco to step up and help instead of telling you to read the instructions, like many stores would do!
Thanks for the Sam's mention, because we are thinking about buy a TV and warranty service in some stores is dubious.
I ahve an alterior motive for posting on this thread. I just installed IESPELL on IE8 and wanted to see if it really worked. It does, but only after you right click and not as you type.
I know this has nothing to do with electonics at all, but I just wanted to say that Costco does provide excellent customer service.
Costco phoned us once about an error on the labelling of a name-brand product that we bought. Apparently the product contained dairy products that were not listed on the label. Costco offered to take it back and appologised for the error. Another time there was a recall on hot dogs. Costco called us to let us know immediately, the same day it hit the news.
Some people may say that is a bit like Big Brother watching, but in these cases I'm glad he was.

They must have set the timer wrong on that TV. It's supposed to break two months AFTER the warranty expires, not two months before.
