I just replaced the pressure relief valve and now I'm not getting any water coming out of any of my faucets? I replaced the valve and screwed in the tank plug where I drained it then went to turn on the water pump to get water flowing in to the water heater and no water is coming out? I can hear the water pump running but no water. This is weird because it worked yesterday when I was messing with the old pressure valve. Is there something I need to do to get the water running or could my water pump be bad. My coachmen is a 2001 so maybe the water pump has gone bad. Thanks

Open hot water faucet, allow water to fill water heater and purge air out of tank. It will take about 6 gallons or so.

Problem Solved! I bought a new temp relief valve, put it in the water heater and now I get HOT water without it leaking. Thanks all

Sometimes pressure valves leak because as the water heats it expands. In a closed system, like in an RV, there is nowhere for the expansion to go so it goes out the valve. Installing an expansion tank in the cold water line will give the expanding water a place to go and will also stop the pulsating of the water pump.

An expansion tank like I installed works great for a more consistent water pressure & temperature, which is most appreciated when showering. As hohenwald48 says, it also eliminates the irritating rapid groaning of the water pump.
