Hi, I know many people have had experience with water damage and I have a question. I am in the process of repairing my damaged floor, and upon pulling back the vinyl, I discovered that the wood is still damp. I repaired the leaks atleast a month ago, and I am wondering if the dampness is normal, due to not being able to dry under the vinyl, or should I search for more leaks? Thanks for any help and advice!

If it were my TT, I would want to insure that all possible leak sources have been accounted for before investing in the repair(s). I would find an RV dealer that has an RV leak testing system (link) and have them run a leak test. This is the most effective and fastest way to put the issue to rest.

It is very possible that it would still be wet well after you have fixed the leak. Until you remove the vinyl there is no where for the water to go and the area remains wet. Dry the area with a fan and then retest the repaired area (with a water hose) for leaks and see if the floor remains dry.
TRUE. I'm a water damage tech and that is what I would do. Call a restoration company and rent an extra large Phoenix or Dri-Eaz dehu from them for 3-4 days.

Thank you very much for your replies! I'm always amazed by the amount of diverse knowledge found here. I'm going to try the dehumidifiers and then retest all the seams. It's currently raining here for the next couple of days, so it shouldn't be too difficult to see if any leaks remain. Thanks again
