Man, there are a lot of those suckers up there. Take a look at the dish pointing site above and tell me which of those is the one you think is the correct one.

I tried again to PM you and could not.. If all you are doing is trying to find the proper signal, send me a pm, I may be able to make it fairly easy for you no matter where you are.. It is easy for me without knowing the info you are seeking...

Aim for either one of the two listed for 101 Directv. That should work. The elevation is the same for both, and the azimuth is very close..

We also subscribe to DirecTV SD programming and have a single LNB dish. The correct satellite, as *some* have said, for DirecTV SD programming is 101.

Thanks everyone for your help. 101 is the correct answer and picking that satellite on the Google Dish Pointing site gives me perfect coordinates as well as a great arial photo of our campground with a scribed direction line to the correct satellite.

Hey, Rhing.. Congrats on being the first respondent to actually READ what the O/P posted.
Oh, and to the OP.. He's right, DirecTV, Solo LNB (Not Single, Solo) you use 101W that's AMC-4 as I recall.. All the NTSC programming is on that bird save for some locals and second language.. Locals are not much use to RVers (The national network channels are on that bird) and if you have a solo LNB That's the bird it pointed to
Single LNB: One lens One coax connection
Dual LNB: one lens. TWO coax connections
TWIN LNB (Dish 500) Two Lens 2 (or more) Coax fittings, built in switch is optional
You can guess the rest (Triplet 3-lens, quat 4, and so on)
