We were in YNP 1970. We took a shuttle (small golf cart size train) with glass roof thru the valley with a guide. Very informative.
I recall the mention of a stain on the face of El Capitan that was the shape of the USA. Look like its still there. The first one shows Baja California very well.
I was born in Great Falls, Mt. My parents moved when I was 5. I found them when I was 10 - they were in California.
It is a tame winter. We camped in Yosemite until Christmas and it was the warmest I could remember in many years of winter camping in the park. Overnight temps in the high 20's, days were high 40's, to low 50's, and no snow . . . what-so-ever. Not even on the peaks surrounding the Valley. Instead of hiking on the snow covered trails, we rode bikes.
Beautiful, but we really need the snow.

Beautiful pics, Buzzcut. Glad you had a nice weekend. We definitely need to make it out there soon.
