Is that the lights on your rig or your Wrangler? I don't know about your 2012....on my 2008 I pull two fuses in the engine compartment. This is because I have to put my key in the accessory position to unlock the steering. One fuse powers down the dash gauges and the other powers down the brake/turn signal power in the Wrangler. I can get the fuse numbers for you if you like (one is marked M1..I don't remember what fuse position the other is), but if I remember correctly (from other posts) your 2012 doesn't need a key in the ignition.
Well, I got the cooltech harness installed. The install was the easy part, have some sort of issue with the lights. For some reason when it is all hooked up everything works, brake lights, turn signals side markers. However, after I unhook the drivers side side marker and tail lights aren't working. But the odd thing is that when I turn the turn signal or brakes on they work...... Any ideas?
Since it appears that you have the factory trailer harness, and if you connected the yellow wire correctly, the only other thing that you could have done wrong is plug the Cooltec harness into the wrong connector. I'm not sure what effect that would have.
When I installed mine I ran the wiring down from the left taillight to the inside of the frame just behind the left rear body mount. The instruction say to zip tie the harness to the existing brake lines down the frame rail. I ran a still piece of wire down the inside of the frame itself and fished the harness so it ran through the left frame rail and came out just over and ahead of the front axle.
I then followed the left frame horn to the front bumper and used a smaller 4-pole plug than the one that came in the kit. I soldered and heat shrunk the harness to the connector and mounted the connector between my Warn bumper and my towbar mounting bracket that I fabricated. I mounted mine where I did for extra protection but you can mount it anywhere on the front end.
Make sure to double check how your coach to towbar is wired as the Cooltech DOES NOT follow standard 4-pole wiring and/or coloring.
