We do not have a redwood but have considered one and they look like a good quality 5th wheel.
Did my eyes decive me?? A Montana cheerleader thinking of going to something other then a Montana?? Then I saw in a different thread where you are a "movie star" for Montana and now have a new Big Sky. Guess it paid off.

Crossroads is the manufacturer of the Rushmore, not the Redwood. Redwood's parent company is Thor....
Actually, Crossroads is the parent company of Redwood, Thor is the parent company of Crossroads and therefore,Redwood. A recall that was just done on the Redwood was done by Crossroads as the parent company. Redwood Residential Vehicles is a stand-alone division of Crossroads. This was posted on the Redwood forum recently. (being a division of Crossroads avoids duplication of services, such as accounting and warranty, apparently)
That would make sense....when you look at Thor's website though, it shows them as separate and equal entities under the Thor umbrella....

There ya go ..... so we were both right and wrong.... bottom line is Crossroads stands behind their stuff so as I said before in an earlier post. Give them a call, I have it on good authority that they will come pick up units and take them back to the factory for work and they come back to the customer better than new.
It's worth a shot......

Isn't this where you usually go into your rant on how much you hate Thor,Lippert any anybody else that built your Bighorn
...this is good, the OP has two threads going, one on Redwood quality and one asking, "which is the best 5th wheel", and everyone on one post is recommending certain 5er's and over here everyone is fighting over quality and the OP hasn't been around since March 31st...kind of funny if you think about it.............

I'm a little busy right now and have time for neither the bickering of overgrown children or the paranoia of conspiracy knuckleheads. I'm just trying to draw on the experience of people who know more than me and gather some information. I read every post - some not too useful - and ask questions privately when I have time. I repeat - I'm just trying to gather information to try and make a better decision next time - because the one I made purchasing a Redwood looks to be a mistake. Period.

I challenge you to show me anywhere I've complained about Thor, Lippert or especially Heartland...fact is, I LOVE my Bighorn, as most here are aware! Either you've confused me with someone else, or you're delusional...based on previous conversations with you, I'm betting on the later...
If you have nothing constructive to contribute to the conversation, why don't you just keep quiet????

Well, I'm not a knucklehead, nor am I an overgrown child, having been married almost 42 years and raised 3 kids with 4 Grandchildren, and I know you weren't talking to me about being paranoid, but when I saw two threads going at the same time, one about the unit you have now and one about purchasing a new "expensive" 5er, and not seeing you in here for several day's, just seemed odd. I will apologize for having posted on your two threads, and bow out....I too have quite a bit of experience, but I don't care much for the name calling. Appears you have all the help you need at this point...good luck in any direction you take....
Again, I apologize if I seem cranky, but I don't even pretend to understand the source of some of the nonsense below. For those of you who have taken the time to post and send USEFUL posts and private messages, many, many thanks.
Well, if anybody finds a brand / company of RV that has a zero failure rate and 100% customer satisfaction, please let me know. They ALL have problems. In our case, the more expensive the rig, the more problems we've had. Hadn't stopped us from buying, or enjoying them. Just fix them and keep camping. Expect the worse, hope for the best in any purchase.
