Even those in the northern part of the country, where snow is more of a problem in the winter months...

My rig is in inside storage all winter long, but every two weeks I go to it and start both the engine and the generator and let them run for a few minutes.

Exercise ours every 14 days, as that is how often we shut down our main service generator and do an oil and filters change. When you live on a generator 24/7, you do things a little different.....

Run my Honda 2000 every 2 weeks and keep Stabil in gas tank year round. It behaves much better when I pay attention to it.

This does more harm to the engines, than letting them set for years without starting.

X2.... Well, maybe not "years".

I agree. The generator should be run under load for about two hours, and if you can't actually drive your coach for at least 30 minutes at highway speeds, it's best not to start it at all.

Weather permitting I will start the generator and let it run for a couple hours with a heater as load. When it hits -20c or so it will not start without an electric start so for me its out of the question. I know that with electric start it probably would start or at least my snowblower which does have electric start does. When it gets a little milder I can start it without too much trouble. This year it has so mild here that all the snow was gone up until this morning when there was about 1/2" but by non it was above freezing so will probably go pretty quick.
