Can't wait....only 35 days and counting! I am sooo looking forward to my 10 days scheduled there the first of June. I am a beach lover and especially love Huntington Beach State Park. Looking forward to morning beach walks with coffee in hand and lazy afternoons of rest and relaxation. Sorry....don't mean to boast...just needed to dream "out-loud" for a minute.

I love a good beach park. Nothing like hanging out in the water and then finding some shade and doing nothing

Gunners Mom - have you checked out Hunting Island SP? It is fabulous. I agree, I love a good beach and Hunting Island is so far out by itself, that's all there is. Wonderfully relaxing.

Yes, we LOVE Hunting Island too. We began taking our children there as mere babes...that was over 25 years ago. Oddly enough, now that they are grown and no longer with us on these trips, we have moved "up the coast" as hubby enjoys the restaurants and Bass Pro Shop at Myrtle. We did get back to Hunting Island last summer for a short visit. It is my favorite but I love all beaches and hubby is not a beach lover as I am so I let him have his choice on this one. My mood lightens just thinking about it.

Under the shade in a hammock with nothing. Ever dreamt of that?

Thought I would post a teaser pic from our site there last summer. Neatest site ive ever stayed in. At high tide we were 20 feet away from the water.

I wish you guy's from out of state would please use your own beaches and state parks. It would make more spots available for me! Just kidding and glad you like the parks. They are two of my favorites as well.

Wow, the Hunting Island pic is killing me! I really need my beach time. Last year's Huntington Beach trip was cut short due to my daughter's emergency appendectomy so I am really needing a "hit".

The hammock post sounds wonderful. We recently sold our business and I am hoping that is the beginning of our "down-sizing"....first step anyway.

Only 34 days!!!!!!!!!!!

OK...2 weeks from this moment I should be at Huntington Beach and should have 8 wonderful days ahead of me to enjoy it. This has been a very trying week and now I am REALLY looking forward to it. Anyone else heading that way?

We are beach people also. I haven't tried Huntington yet. I asked about MB and Huntington in a thread and people said both are very nice.

have 10 days in June at Hunting Island, 5 days at Holden Pier at Holden Beach, and 8 days at Edisto State park in August. I go batty for the beach!!!!!

I know you excitement!!! our beach trips can never get here fast enough.

You will have a blast.
