whoo-hoo! I just sent in the last payment of our 2010 23B. It feels great. Now, if we just get to use it - we have a 17 month old foster son and a 5 week old daughter. When camping, my wife and I are used to hanging out with our two puppies. It will be a whole new, albeit welcome, experience for us this year. Wish us luck!

Congrats on the payoff, but especially the kids!
Yours are young yet, but our fondest camping memories were when our sons was little. Cherish those moments. We lost our son a few years ago, but the camping memories are forever.

Thanks, and sorry to hear about your son. We had identical twins that were stillborn at 28 weeks about 20 months ago. That was an absolute miserable experience that I wish on nobody. Nobody ever knows what life has in store, but it's certainly worth living!

So sorry for your loss. If possible, try 'practice' camping in the driveway or backyard to work out the bugs. Have fun and see you down the road!

My Wife and I started in a tents with our Daughter when she was 4 months old (And our 200lb Mastif). When my son was born about a year later we decided to go with a TT. 4 years later my daughter asks when we are going to camp. Its a great experience, and is Enhanced by hte children. Enjoy.

Congratulations on getting it paid off, now use it, use it, use it. We had a HTT when both our daughters were born and they LOVED it. We went to the beach several times a year (8 hr trip) and would camp for at least two weeks during the summer, usually locally.
Now that the girls are older (8 and 5), we are heading out on a 7 week trip this summer and then will camp host for the month of August at a local state park.
To get the kids used to the HTT, set it up at the house and let them play in it, maybe take a nap in it and if at all possible, sleep in it at least for one night. We would set it up a week ahead of time and spend lots of time playing games or just hanging out during the day. The girls still want to play in ours when we are at home.

Congrats on the pay-off. Wish ours were there, but soon. Since DS#1 has been out of commission and has to have daily injections, our camping has really suffered. I don't mind making our ROO payment, but sure hate it when I have to pay and we don't get to camp that month. I've been wondering if I called our bank and asked them if we could just make a payment on the months when we get to camp if they'd go along with that. Guess not.
So sorry to hear about your losses. Our DS is handicapped and with the health problems he's had the past few years, I am thankful every day for the fact that he's pulled through at times when it seemed doubtful.

I'm happy for you guys. Now it's time to build great memories with your children.
To all of you who lost children, I'm truly sorry.
I also lost a 15 year old daughter, and I'm living every day thinking of the great times I had with her.
We have to learn to keep only the good memories.

KEEP A CAMPING JOURNAL.. I wish I had because we have so many great memories of our kids through the years but we sometimes forget, where was that, when was that, what camper did we have then, who did we meet, etc. Just jot a few notes in a journal (they sell camping journals at CW) and those memories will last forever.
