I'm not real big on lawyers but in this case with that much wrong and the time it has taken to get no where it is time to lawyer up, the sooner the better. I would be wanting a new unit shipped in if they could not repair things to brand new condition. At the very least contact Good Sams Action Line....

Hi Disco Chicken,

I'm going to disagree with much of what has been suggested here.

First: NO SILICONE! It doesn't seal squat. Read about other sealants in this forum.

Second: My experience with lawyers is that after all is said and done; only the lawyers involved are satisfied with the outcome and they are much richer. So, forget that.

Third: It sounds that you don't have any structural issues; only cosmetic. So fix them yourself, to your own satisfaction.

Fourth: Go camping. Use your TC. It's the camping experiences and memories that are important; not the TC.

Fifth: Princess Craft should have fixed ALL these issues before they forwarded the TC to you. After all, THEY got the sales commission. Your complaint is with them, as well as the mfg. imo.

Sixth: Don't buy things at a distance that you can't take back. IIRC, several years back, there was at least one other unhappy long distance customer of Princess Craft. That is, it took forever to get their TC and when they finally got it, they were unhappy. Again, IIRC.

Go camping Disco Chicken and have fun and to H with TC dealers and mfg's.

I almost bought a Lance from Princess Craft. I would not buy from Princess Craft or an Adventurer TC after reading this thread. Buyer beware. I hope you are not making payments on that TC.

Your photos seem to indicate something is wrong with the frame.
Door not aligning? Gaps to the outside?
Looks like a frame issue and that's part of the warranty - and yes, that's a big deal.
Sealant is not a "fix".
Fire problems? Contact the DOT.
Ask everyone you can, Good Sam, AutoClub, DOT, etc for an attorney reference.
This is a big deal and Adventurer should have product liability insurance which will cover the attorney fee.
And the attorney should know if you have a case.

My wife and took delivery on a 2012 New Adventurer 86 FB model April 13th. We drove from Dallas,tx to Tomahawk, Wisconson to purchase this new Adventurer model.

We had issues the first night returning back from dealer!!!I tried to inspect everything at the dealer that I could think of...even had a small list!! The only thing I noticed was some caulking along some seams needed to be touched up which I resquested in an email to dealer before pick up. When I addressed this he said the caulk was still ok. Should have insisted that day to take care of it but decided I would do it it myself when we returned home.

It then started to rain when we started to load the camper on my truck. Did not notice that the new Happijac electric jacks had a good amount of rust and scrape marks on inner tubes of jacks?? Did not really think about inspecting new jacks that closely??

The first night in camper after leaving Dealership we had troubles with closing the door. Our model has the same door strut attached to the bottom as yours does...would not shut and completely seal at bottom left corner of door. The next morning went to open door and strut broke off the door where it attaches to the bottom of camper door!! Strangely the door shuts and seals fine so far so you might want to look at the strut. We contacted Brad and he said that he would send us replacement parts but they do not stock them anymore do to door design changes and do not use this type anymore.

Wife and I got back on road and stopped the second night on our way back to Dallas and entered the camper to find the WINDOW TREATMENT Ripped out completley from ceiling and landed on Dinette table!! Three wood screws were the only thing that looked like it was the only thing holding this up.. Brad did help us right way on that locally here at a rv shop I chose and had it window treatment fixed. At first he wanted to have us take it to Princecraft but I told him it almost 4 hours away.

I also noticed the compartment door for control center seems to stick out at top a little...I will keep a close eye on this.It rained prety good for a while on our trip home and seem dry inside. One more item we noticed when arriving home is a slight wave in filon above right rear jack.did not see this either at pick up. Sent pics to Brad and he said it happens sometimes in building process and is normal? Will watch this too very closely.

Have been communicating with Happijac by email about jacks and response has been slow. Will call them today and also let Brad at Adventurer know. I will include pictures for you to see. So sorry to hear about your issues with your camper. I did research on Adventurer and saw a lot of good remarks on this company. Best of luck with your camper and PM us anytime.

I too researched the company. However they have recently moved their manufacturing and gone through some management changes. Again, I assume these are the rots of the problems with the new campers.

Wow, sorry to hear about your troubles. I would send an email to Brad and let him know about your post on here.. You would be surprised about what can come from a board like this. Also, contact RV action line in trailer life magazine, they do a lot of articles on issues like this and they seem to get resolved.. Maybe due to the publicity. Here is an example of how they helped. At the end of the article it tells you how to contact them. What about lemon laws? I know some states have those? Good luck!

RV ACTION LINE

I'll contact them this afternoon. Thanks.
