Being retarded, I must not have much of a life. Cuz I take all the junk mail we get & if there are prepaid envelopes in em, I sort thru em & insert other junk in em and mail it back to em @ there expense. If they wanta pay to send that garbage then they can pay a little more to get that garbage back + little added money for the Postal service.

I'm amazed at the number of people on this and other forums offended by receiving "junk" mail. First, it is proven to be the most effective form of advertising for a company based on the business received versus the cost incurred. So businesses are going to continue to use it to target their message. Secondly, it takes me two seconds to look at the envelope, maybe open it and make a keep or toss decision. That's not really much of an imposition on my day. Why does it offend people so much? Oh, and it's a major source of revenue for our failing postal service. Just my two cents worth.

I'll tell you why it offends me....it invades my privacy and forces me to "handle" something I hadn't asked for...it is an imposition no matter how small,it's just the same as unwanted solicitors coming to your door to try and sell you something. At least those folks can be arrested as trespassers or maybe "escorted" off my property by the rather large dog ...same thing with telemarketers....invasion of my privacy....and all the junk mail that gets thrown away takes up, eventually, landfill space and uses up resources better dedicated to valuable pursuits. Here's a good tip for handling telemarketers, when I happen to be in the den/office/study where my printer-scanner-fax combo is located, when a call comes in that is from some unrecognized number, I just hit the fax answer button works like a charm and they take you off thier call list. Geez I feel better, now if we could only go back to hanging horse thieves we'd really have something

Yes, it takes some time to receive new card. You may not get one though. I heard, not sure if it is fact, that they are cutting costs on mailings. You need to write new expiration date on card. Sound strange to cut costs in one area and not in the massive mailing advertising areas.
I just checked again and there is an option to opt out of EMAIL. I can NOT find anywhere to stop them from filling my US Mailbox.
If someone can find it PLEASE post here.
Four out of five days, items in the mail this week from Good Sam. :-(

Hey Bud, Can you tell me exxactly where I can finf the "my communication". I don't see anything like that under any of the headings when I sign in to my good sam account. Probably I am just overlooking it ...but I can't find it.
I think the thing that bothers me the most about junk mail is that it loads down the USPS and causes rate increase after rate increase. The USPS is really having a rough financial time and even contemplating reducing service. If junk mail were to be eliminated, they probably could once again be a profitable organization.
